Could be dirty oil, worn rings, plugged PCV valve, worn valve seals, too much oil in crankcase, if its a v6 could be an internal intake leak. the miss fire is from it burning oil.

Had 1 lifter making noise, so I replaced all lifters. Now it has random misfire and blows blue smoke, which it never had before.

Blue exhaust smoke usually suggests the engine is burning oil. Oil in the cylinders can foul the spark plugs and cause the misfire. Have you checked if the head gasket is OK? Check if there is any oil floating in the coolant bottle or any white 'cream' like liquid mixed in the oil.
If the gasket is OK your issue gets a bit more serious. You could have PCV issues worn valve stem seals, worn piston rings, and depending on the age and engine fitted you could also have a turbo oil supply issue.

Rough idle on 99 chevy metro 1.3l engine. changed plugs good pickup but intermittent misfires. even when idling. also leak in exhaust system.

First thing, fix leaking exhaust, this can cause erratic idling...second thing, remove and clean IAC valve and MAF sensor..dry and replace, also try putting some SeaFoam in the petrol, engine oil and air intake, let sit for 10 minutes then go for 10-15 min drive...suggest you change engine oil shortly after driving about 5000kms, if the oil is old..

Did you get any codes on the misfire? If you did not, test ignition coils, test vacuum, test fuel injectors, verify correct plugs..That's right, anything from a fouled spark-plugs to burned cylinder head valves can cause a misfire. Whatever the root cause of the misfire, the bottom line is that one or more cylinders are not contributing to total engine power output. This leads to power loss, rough idle, unstable RPM and bad gas mileage...cheers

My Ssangyong Actoyn sport misfires at times and then again run fine. It also smokes at times but this also gos away. The oil usages are normal. The enjen light also comes on and off at times. Pleas help...

most likely this is worn and leaking valve seals. engine oil leaks onto the piston (mostly burning away quickly and unnoticeably). when slowing from sustained engine speed, this oil doesnt burn away as rapidly, building in the combustion chamber instead. the built up oil burns away when you again accelerate, causing smoke for a very short period. this also causes momentary misfire (sometimes read by the ecu and signaling the check engine light). repeated multiple times a day, this leads to premature spark plug failure (fouled plugs). replacing the plugs is a short term fix (they will foul again). You need to get your valve seals replaced or this problem will get worse.

Engine code: Misfire cylinder 1. Replaced plugs

There should be no built up fuel or oil in cylinder. The fuel will be burned off immediately, and there should have been very little unless you have a leaking injector. The only way oil will enter the cylinder is if you have a mechanical failure like worn rings or leaking valve seals. If after replacing the plugs and wires did not correct all or the skip after the first start up and road test then you have another issue causing the skip

Oil smell in my vw

Sounds like valve cover gaskets need to be changed - they're a common failure on the 30v engine. Fortunately, they're also relatively inexpensive ($25 per cylinder bank - you need two - from www.ecstuning.com). They're also easy to change. They'd easily explain your oil smell - oil leaks onto hot valve covers and burns. Also, the misfire could be (not a guarantee, but it's possible) a result of valve cover gaskets as well - there's the main gasket which seals around the edge of the valve cover, and a second gasket shaped like three rings. This trims and seals the openings around each of the spark plugs, where the plugs are inserted through the valve covers. If you're leaking there, you can drown the top end of the plug in oil. If that gets into the spark wire boot, it can cause a misfire.
