SOURCE: Would like to know where the fuse box for a 1990 Lexus ES 250 would be? The air conditioner has stopped working and it does not need any freon. Please help.

It's the medium sized black box located under the drivers seat

SOURCE: I cannot find the fuse box

the fuse box could be in a lot of places the most common is below the dash or even on the side of the dash where the door needs to be opend in order to see it another place is in the glove compartment either way it will have a cover panel pop this off and the diagram and some fuse pullers should be on the back

SOURCE: 1) need freon 2) A/C/Heat won't turn off

In '92 most cars were still using r-12 freon, but some were using the newer r-134 freon. If its r-12 you need to have a repair shop recharge it. And they will probably try to sell you on converting the system to take r-134, which wont be cheap. If its r-134 you can buy a can with the regulator hose at any auto parts store for under $30 and as long as you know where the low pressure port is you can recharge it yourself. Just follow the instrucions on the can. Good luck, I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: '96 Lexus ES300 - a/c not blowing cold air. Took

There has to be a leak in the system. Look at the sight glass coming up from the condenser- is the refrigerant low (many bubble). If there is a leak there is a sniffer they use in the shop the detect where it is.

0linc ls v8 added freon compressor came on but no cool air doing good the day before now blowing hot air out all vent's

If the AC was working good the day before, why on earth did you add freon? Did you use a real manifold set or just the plastic "add a can" parts store stuff?

Air conditioner stopped blowing cool air. Added freon. Worked well for a few days. Now only blows cool air on passenger side.

Chances are you have a pretty fast freon leak, and the passenger side will be blowing warm within a few days. I have the same thing happen on a couple of my GM cars, except my leak is very slow; warm driver's side, cold passenger side.

You can try and top off the freon again, but I suspect you're going to have to take it to a shop to find the leak and get it fixed. Plan on spending some big dollars for the repair.

Good Luck.

The front air conditioner on my 2003 dodge grand caravan has a small leak that the dealship says is under the dash. Can I just put a charge on the front unit the back unit blows cold air. Is this...

There is only one system, so your conclusion doesn't make sense. If the front evaporator is leaking, the whole system will lose charge, and the back will not be cooling. Your problem may actually be the front blend door. Recommend you get a second opinon. Evaporator replacement is much more than $300.

Have a 1992 toyota corolla. I put a can of freon in it for my a/c. It got cold for 2 days and then only just blow out cool air. What can be the problem?

air conditioning sytems are assembled with o rings at each connection to seal the system, as these dry rot and crack over time, they fail and cause leaks in the system. you added freon , but then it leaked out slowly over the next few days. a garage can inject colored dye into your ac sytem and find your leak, but it will cost you.

2003 COROLLA S AIR CONDITIONER BLOWS HOT AIR.5 DAYS AGO MECHANIC "CLEANED LINES AND PUT IN FREON" FOR $135.00. STILL BLOWING HOT AIR.

If it blew cold air after freon added and 5 days later blew warm, you may have a leak in the system. Also check and see if compressor comes on if not you may have an electrical issue, relay for compressor, coil on compressor, etc.......

My air conditionar does not work real well in my alero. It will turn on and get a little cold but not cold enough to keep the inside of the car cold. What could be the problem?

you may have a small freon leak. Autozone has a leak detection kit. Being summer, this may have been going on for quite sometime.
since you need it now you now noticed it has not been working. By adding freon without looking for a leak the freon you put in may leak out in a few days

A/C not working correctly

My 2000 GS has the same problem. My AC guy told me it was just low on Freon. So we added some and sure enough it works flawlessly!!!

My only problem is that the Freon leak I have can't be found anywhere. The car will work great for 5 days then on the sixth day it is back to the way it was.
