Try a spray lubricant along the roof runner mechanism when roof in the tilt position , failing that may have to remove the roof to lubricate the entire opening system , ie motor , control wires , if that is the type used , also try gentle pushing whilst holding open switch after applying the spray lubricant , hope this is of help

To simply answer the question, yes, having your windows/sunroof open reduces your vehicles overall speed due to drag that's not factored into wind tunnel testing when it's designed.

If your vehicle is detecting a slip condition, your shifting too high or low, causing clutch slip as opposed to a solid engagement. This occurs in any vehicle with a clutch; you need to shift precisely. Margin of error on a shift point is not a few hundred RPM's, it's less than 100.

SOURCE: my '95 camry sunroof won't open; only makes gear

go to a junk yard where you can pull your own parts find a camry that is around your same year rip the headliner out and pull the complete sunroof asembly. make sure you get the wiring harness with it. Then put that in your car (will take a lot longer to put it in your car because you will have to be careful with the headliner and intereor parts. It shouldnt take you longer than about 4 hours to take out the old one and put the new one in assuming that you are mechanically inclined. this will be the most cost effective way to fix it. if you have any questions feal free to e-mail me at [email protected]. SOURCE: my sunroof will only tilt up if I push on it while

Remove the sunroof complete, clean all items of this system, incl. the sliders in your Jeeps roof. You need to remove the roof trim at first. Then you can remove the sunroof. Check all items if rusted or cracked, if so replace them. That's the only way to go.

Nissan rogue sunroof wont slide open. It will tilt up but not slide

1. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
2. Push and hold the sunroof switch toward 2 . Once the sunroof has reached the full tilt position, release the switch. Push and hold the switch toward the 2 position again. After a delay of four seconds, the sunroof will make a small movement and backup.
3. Release the switch.
4. Within 5 seconds of releasing the switch, push and continuously hold the switch toward 2 . The sunroof will move from the tilt position to the open position and back to the close position.

2002 Jaguar XType Sun-roof one-touch operations reset

I had this issue and found the solution around, worth sharing and it takes 30 seconds:

Press the sunroof switch forward to move the sliding roof panel into the tilted position.

Release the sunroof switch.

Press and hold the sunroof switch forward until the sliding roof panel moves slightly. This may take 30 seconds or more.

Release the sunroof switch.

Immediately press and hold the sunroof switch in the forward position. The sliding roof panel will move down and rearward to the open position, and then forward into the closed position. Do not release the sunroof switch until the sliding roof panel has stopped completely.

Your sunroof panel should now be aligned.

Reset sunroof toyota

To reset the moonroof one-touch operation:
With ignition switch in the "ON" position, do the following:
1. Push and hold the "TILT UP" side of the switch until the moon roof tilts all the way up and then tilts down slightly (approximately 10 mm [0.39 in.] at the rear).
2. Check for proper operation of the "one-touch slide open/close" and "one-touch tilt up/down" functions by pushing the switch briefly to the "SLIDE OPEN" and
"TILT UP" positions.

New model 99 Jetta. Sunroof only tilting not sliding

When you turn switch to the slide back position, do you hear the motor running ? If yes, might have a blocked or bad track. This will require you to remove trim covers and glass to have access to the track. Once all parts removed, turn the switch to open as you look at the motor and track move.

BMW X 3 Panoramic sun roof initialization.

title says X5, but description says X3. i'll explain for an X5, but X3 with the pano should be the same. and i'll explain function of the roof, not reprogramming.

button is located on the panel at the top near the front & center windshield. its the switch on the far left on this panel. its a switch that not only toggles, but also slides forward & back.

with your finger in front of the button, slide it back & release. this will make the cover slide back and store revealing the sun roof. you know have 2 options (tilt the sunroof up or open the roof completely).

to tilt it up, press up on the rear of the button and release. the rear of both roofs will pop up. to close, push up and release the front of the button or slide the switch forward.

to slide it open completely, repeat what you did to open the protective cover (slide the switch from front to back). the roof will open completely and stow out of the way. to close, slide the switch forward and release. pano roof will now close.

to close the cover, slide the switch forward again.

neat trick: if you want to tilt the sunroof open without opening the protective cover, press up on the rear of the button (when the cover is closed) and release. the cover will separate in the middle exposing about a 2-3 inch mesh, then tilts the sunroof open. to close, push the button forward again.

also, if you are above a certain speed (can't remember what it is off hand) with the sunroof open or tilted, it will close automatically, then perform the neat trick on its own to keep air coming in.

one last trick: if you want to open the windows and sunroof from outside, press & hold the unlock button (forward button on the key) and you will see the windows go down, then the roof will open to vent. releasing the button will stop the motion of the windows & roof.

hope this answered what you were asking.
