What's the best oil for a 2004 Nissan Maxima SL with 192000 miles

If the engine is still in good condition the recommended oil remains the best choice.

Choose your favourite brand and check against your vehicle in the online application catalogue - there is usually two choices for each model, a budget oil and a premium type, though the budget oil is usually not much of a saving.

How often do i change the oil on a mercury mountaineer 2005?

It depends on how many miles you drive annually, the environment your vehicle is driven in (dusty, hot, cold, humid, dry, etc), the type of oil you use (conventional, synthetic blend, or full synthetic), and the condition of your car's engine. You should consult your owner's manual and the data on your engine oil.

I drive a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer 5,0L and drive it about 1,500 miles annually. I use a synthetic blend oil and change my oil and oil filter twice a year. I change the oil in the spring so I have fresh oil for the hot summer driving season and I change my truck's oil in the fall after the hot summer driving season. Because my Mountaineer has a lot of miles on it, I use thinner oil in the winter 5/20 and thicker oil in the summer 10/20. I check my oil regularly and look at the color and feel the oil for grit. This has worked for me for many years and I have had good performance from my vehicles.

You can go on the different oil manufacture's websites and read their recommendations as well. There has been much debate about when to change the oil in a vehicle so you have to decide for yourself what schedule you want to follow.

On the Oil cap of the 6 cyl. engine, it says 5-40 SH II. What does the SH II stand for and what would be the recommended oil weight for an engine of that age with 124,500 miles on it. Is any particular...

Normally this would be a grade of oil but I don't recall them using anything that thin in Camry's in the US. That maybe an Asian type of oil. In most cases in the US they used a 5W20 grade of oil. If you picked this vehicle up in Asia somewhere I do not recommend adding oil to it until you do a complete oil change so you don't mix them.

How many miles you have to change oil in 2007 e

Depends on the type of oil, temperature, and whether short hops or highway, but in general one changes oil twice a year. With the better synthetics you could go a whole year.

Normal 20,000 mile service, what is done?

T Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} he 20,000 mile service is a minor service. This service generally involves an oil and filter change , tire rotation
and a safety inspection. While changing the oil, the mechanic will be performing visual inspections of the brakes, belts and hoses inspecting for any fluid leaks,, listening for any abnormal noises, and paying attention to any irregularities in the operation of the vehicle.
If you have your service at the dealership, have them check and perform any recalls on the vehicle.
Possible Repairs Needed at the 20,000 Mile Service It's not uncommon for your vehicle to need a brake pad replacement at this mileage, and on some vehicles the tires may need replacement.

Recommendations
  • We recommend considering replacement of the air filter every year or 12,000 to 15,000 miles.
Why this happens
  • If oil has contaminated the air filter, it should be replaced. Oil contamination may indicate a problem with the PCV system.
  • Air filters will need replacement more often in vehicles driven in dusty and sandy areas.

How much oil it needs a 2000 vw beetle with motor 2.0 L and what oil it needs 140000 miles

Hi,

Recommend you change filter also, every 7,500 miles.

Quantity needed: 4.2 qts
Oil type: look for an API rating of "SJ" or better

Your selection of oil is really dependent on the temperatures the vehicle will endure, during the life of this oil change (i.e. is it winter or summer).

So, with this in mind you should select your oil, based on the following temperature chart:

NEED OIL CHANGE

I would use 20/50 SE synthetic motor oil or high mileage or if you have the money, Amsoil is also great. Also change your filter every time and keep your oil changed about 3000 miles or so. It is overkill to change the synthetic and oil filter frequently, but will very good for your motor.
