We have a 1995 Ford Contour. We're trying to replace the headlight assembly in it, with little success. I've read online that you should remove the grill, and if working on the driver's side, remove the battery as well, although it's very hard to find information specific to this model and year. We haven't done either of those. Is that necessary on this model? My husband is great with cars and works in auto parts, and even he had to give up on it for now. Step-by-step, exactly do we go about replacing the headlight assembly (not just the bulb) on this car?
Found this link, click on it. My database didn't have this info so I did a web search, found that link. I don't even know if it is correct?

That's a very good question...but I gather that this car has been taken care of and should be in very good shape and with economy the way it is..I see no reason to get a new car...My advice..Just get the water pump replaced and happy motoring....and don't let any mechanic try to sell you something that you don't need...I'm sure that you've heard the expression"If it ain't broke...don't fix it."..I hope this was heplful...PEACE.....
