Check you user guide for resetting the radio code. Your dealer (or the previous owner) should have given you the code. It may be in your radio user manual.

Is this the original radio unit or an aftermarket radio unit?

Wow great question, lol. I'm not sure if it's the original. My husband bought the car from a car guy so I'm not sure and we weren't given any codes for anything. I have tried doing the reset button under the face of the radio but it's not working.

I have a 95 Honda civic. My cig. Liter works but my radio won't turn on no matter what I do. My clock resets every time I get in the car. I've replaced my wiring harness the fuse in my radio is...

Don't know if yours is one but some 95 Honda civic have a antitheft program. If the battery ever goes dead or voltage is removed from it, it will not work until a program code is given to bring the radio back to life. you might want to try searching 95 Honda civic radio code.

In my 2004 Honda Accord the radio flashes on and off when the car is off. Thus, running the battery down. Is this anything you've ever heard of before.

No. Unplug the radio fuse to keep it from back feeding through car. Then take radio in for repair when you have time.

The radio and the cd player will not power up.

Take the "face" off the radio.Look for a small hole on the radio front.Owner's manual should describe it.Stick pen tip or open paper clip into hole. That pushes against something in there and resets the power. Some radios label the hole as reset but you need good eyes.

Radio keeps flashing on and off on Ford Focus 2003

If it has a detachable face plate that could be the problem. Remove and clean the contacts. My face plate will get warm if left in the car in the summer and expands, radio flashes until ac cools it down. I remove faceplate and take it with me, put it on when I get back in. Works alot better.

Battery ran down.now radio/clock don't work. flashes Error.can this be reset?

try taking the radio out and looking on the top for the parts number. call Honda and tell them what is going on and they will give you a 4 digit code that will reset the radio. i had the same problem with my 05 civic, did that and it worked for me.

Fist time owner

This is the Radio Anti Theft feature which is activated whenever there is a complete power loss to the radio (as in when it is stolen out of the car). A Honda Tech or ASE Certified Auto Tech would have plugged in a Memory Minder into the OBDII slot to not onlyto prevent this, but also protect the Main ECM from resetting which could create drivability issues.

If the Honda is now registered in your name, take it to your local Honda Dealer. They should be able to pull the Radio Serial number without removing it like was required in the older Hondas, now simply a matter of pushing the right buttons to get radio serial number. With the Radio Serial Number, Your Proof of Ownership (Registration) and a Photo ID that matches it, either the Parts Department Or Service should be able to give you a Radio Code for it.

If you just bought this Honda, or any vehicle, I always strongly recommend having a Manufacture Dealership do at least a oil change on it and check what other services may be due, you might also discover it has Recalls that have yet to be completed that they can take care of for you. Catch the little problems before they ruin that Great Deal you just got buying it.

Strongly suggest you join Hondas “OwnersLink”, you can find it on the Honda web site under Owners Resources links. In the future, you can use this to recover your Radio code after you’ve been registered for awhile. Also it keeps you notified of Recalls, Service Issues and even sends out Discount coupons (Latest is a $119 trunk cargo trays for only $39, that is a Fantastic Deal).

Good Luck

How can I remove my radio from my 2001 cabrio vw so I can get the radio serial number to reset my radio. I lost my code number to reset radio :-(

You do not need to take the dash apart, there are two little slots oneon each side of the face of the radio, you need special removal tools to unlock it and it will pull right out, but first check in your owners manual, or in the spare tire well for the card, or sticker which has the serial number as well as the unlock code for your radio.
