There will be a plastic reservoir attached to the top of the master cylinder on the side of the reservoir will be two lines clearly marked the top line is the full line the lower line will be the add brake fluid line
you will be able to see the brake fluid in the reservoir through the plastic
under no circumstances do you put ant sticks or anything else in the brake fluid as this is contamination
only use brake fluid that is recommended for your vehicle and then only from a fresh unopened bottle.

How to change the fluid of the power steering ?

Open the engine hood.

There will be several fluid reservoirs under the bonnet. If the car / truck has power steering, one of them will hold about 150-300ml of fluid that should be a red color. If you put some on your hand it is very slippery.

The other reservoirs will hold water for the windscreen washer, and one connected to the radiator to hold coolant.

Check that the reservoir you intend to put the power steering fliud in is not connected to the radiator and does not contain water.

Take the cap off to check.

If you can't see in to the bottom, roll up some kitchen paper towel and feed that in until you get some fluid on it - red, you hope!

There will be marks (horizontal lines) on the side of the reservoir showing "Min" (minimum) and "Max" (maximum or full). Slowly pour in replavcement fliud until the tiop of the fluid is between the marks.. Put the cap back on, close the engine hood, drive for a short distance (2 km?) and check the levels again.

Top up the reservoir to just under "Max". Replace the cap.

Check the level after a short period of normal driving - a couple of weeks, If it is still going down a mechanic needs to check the power steering seals.

good luck.

The fluid is below at min, which the mechani says is good for a mazda 3. Is that right?

As you didn't explain which fluid is low, here's a general explaination. There's always a cause for any fliud being low, the only fliuds that can fall below minimun levels are brake fliud [ as the brake pads or shoes wear it takes more fluid to push the surfaces together ] if not checked on a routine service, such as oil changes. The other is windshield washer fliud, which is lost with use.
Any other fliud loss isn't normal, and should be addressed.

I have a 94 cavalier the abs light came on and now i have no brakes the pedal goes to the floor and some kind of noise is coming from under the hood

That sounds like you may have broken a brake line except for the noise under the hood. Unless it is brake fluid squirting up, hitting the hood. Check the inside of all four tires and under the hood on the driver's side below the wind shield. My guess is you are going to find a big oily spot where all of your brake fluid has gone.

Brakes are going to the floor most of the way checked rear brakes and they are still good bleed them and problem still there

Normally when the brake pedal goes almos to the floor it is an indication of low brake fluid. Low brake fluid is an indication that front and/or rear brakes are wearing. As the brake pads wear down more brake fluid will be required in the wheel cylinders or calipers. Hint, the front brakes usually wear much faster than the rear due to the fact that the fronts due a much greater braking function that the rear. Check the front pads. Don't let them get down to the metal scraping metal stage before you change them out. This causes unnessary damage to the rotors. Look at your master cylinder on the firewall under the hood in front of the steering wheel. If the fluid level is belowhte "max" mark add fluid. Low fliud should also show as a red "brake" light on your dash, but not always.

My clutch petal is going all the way to the floor and can not engage into gear

Have you checked the clutch fluid level? I am referring to the clutch master cylinder which is usually mounted on the firewall near the master brake cylinder. If fluid level is low, clutch won't work. Hope it's that simple. Let me know.

My 1999 chevy tracker 78k miles rear drivers side leaks a fliud and makes a light scrubbing noise brakes and drums were replaced it may have something to do with 4wheel drive axle i was told has anyone had...

Is the fliud a lite clear brown/tan (brake fliud) or is it a dark black colour (gear oil)? It sounds like you have a brake fluid leak. Check your steel line on the rear axle and then remove the wheel and drum and check the wheel cylinder. Top up your Master cylinder and bleed the brakes. You might find the light scrubbing noise gone.

My 1994 buick lesabre's brakes will not work. I have low brake fluid and the brake pads were just replaced. My friend said that there was brake fluid leaking from the car and that I might need a master...

if you can see a good amount of wet brake fluid between the brake master cylinder and the brake booster. and you have been adding fliud often, you could have a bad master cylinder. it has to be replaced not rebuilt. you however may have a far more common problem, a rusted through brake line.have someone pump the brake pedal, than look under the car for a brake fluid leak ,repair as needed. than bleed the brakes for a good hard brake pedal
good luck chris
