AC REQUIRES MUCH POWER TO RUN. MAKE SURE YOUR ENGINE WORKS PROPERLY; WITH NEW AIR-FILTER, FRESH OIL AND CLEAN GASOLINE.
The AC compressor uses power from the engine, those engines in the Echo's make very little horsepower so the use of the A/C will be noticeable.
Testimonial: "I have had this car from the 4000 mile point on the odometer. So for you people with weak answers such as "the ac uses power" ... I know this. The power available has changed. But one common answer was dealt with by me. The mass air flow sensor. I purchased some cleaner for the sensor and pulled it out and cleaned it up. The problem seems solved. Perky again even with the ac on. Thank you everyone!"
