Ok I was driving my 2000 crown Victoria and it started over heating temp light come on and car cut off what should I do......I put more water but still temp light on..pls help me.

when you hold the accelerator does the vehicle stay running? if so the problem is in ithe IAC idle air control motor, take a small screw driver and using the handle tap the iac motor and usualy the motor will kick in and the vehicle will run fine then if the problem is rectified replace the IAC

first cylinder 4 is the last on the passenger side . first pull the coil out and check if there is water where the plug is. if there is take the water out and dry up the coil. if you find water you got a crack manifold or a bad intake manifold gasket. if there is no water replace the coil. good luck
