If you are reffering to the fuel tank sending unit, the fuel tank will have to be removed for access. Once removed, you can remove the sending unit by removing the lock ring securing it to the tank. Depending on rust/corrossion, the lock ring may require some patience to remove. Once the ring is removed the unit pull right out of the tank

If your coolant is full, and the car is not overheating, it's probably not your thermostat, but you might want to make sure. Look on the heater hoses running to the heater core - there should be a solenoid valve in the supply one (I think it's a vacum solenoid). That ****** is probably toast.... I believe it's meant to shut the coolant flow off when the aircon comes on. You can either whack it, replace it, or, if the aircon doesn't work anymore, remove it and put a coupling in there.... if it's not that, then your heater core is probably plugged.

Personal experience between 13 - 20 for most models with the v-6 and v-8. the 5.7l is about the most fuel efficient at roughly 17
