2000 grand caravan blow cold on floor vent but not dash vents

This sounds a lot like a door actuator it is locate behind the radio part od the dash when you switch the vents like to the floor upper dash do you hear a clicking sound? put your ear to the middle of the dash where the switch to the heat / cool is and listen for the clicking sound when you change the vents direction. If you do it's the vent actuator you will have to remove the face part of the vent and it's in behind that it is usually a white plastic box it may be black but most are white. The cost is about 90 to 120 Canadian dollars.
Hope this helps good luck.

Try scraping ice off the "whole glass area." before you leave the house.

06 dodge caravan a/c won't blow out dash vents. floor and defrost blow cold.

sounds like the mode switch on the dash may not be working properly allowing it to blow in the dash vent mode.

Check for a vacuum hose under the hood that is bad,or not connected, this will be going into the firewall.

I HAVE A 2001 DODGE DURRANGO THE DEFROSTER IS NOT BLOWING ANY AIR OUT OF TOP OF DASH BUT SEEMS TO BLOW OUT OK ON ALL VENTS AND FLOOR

it sounds like the switch lever for the vents, floor and defrost is not switching the vent door that goes to the defroster hose. You need to pull the switch consol out loose from the dash and follow the cable for the defrost that goes to the hose for the defrost. You might also have a broke switch that won't pull the cable enough to open the air for the defrost hose.

No air flows from dash vents. I get air flow to the defroster vents and the floor vents, but not the ones across the dash

blend door actuator. to fix, the dasshboard has to be removed, A/C has to be reclaimed, and coolant drained. it is not an easy task for the DIY'er. best left to a repair shop as it is an aggrevating and time consuming process.

Heater works but defrost fills inside with fog.

your heater core has probably sprung a leak.does the fog smell kinda sweet?....check the floor in the front where the floor mats are for moisture or even puddles of antifreeze.(the replacement of a heater core can be very expensive as the entire dash usually needs to be removed to access the heater core)also look under the engine near the firewall for antifreeze drips.

Heater Selector Switch

Yes it could be the switch but you should be able to reach up under the dash and manually switch the vents by hand
