You will more than likely need to replace the whole heater control unit in the dash. Thier like mini computers now and usually if one side goes down it means the whole unit is shot.
It's probably a problem with the shift lock system . This is a safety feature that won't allow you to shift from park into a gear unless your foot is pushing on the brake pedal . Brake switch sends a B+ voltage to a module (maybe) ,the module then energize's a locking solenoid ,to unlock the shifter . Google lexus shifter interlock .
if it drives fine off idle then I would suspect the Idle air control valve.
If its hard to start unless you put your foot slightly on the gas then again I would suspect the IAC
are you sure the battery is good in the remote? if so try putting the key in the driver door lock and locking and unlocking the doors three times in a row. if this dosent work i suggest taking it to an experienced lexus shop.
