1998 corvette will not start says reduced power

If the security light is blinking it will not start. The security system needs to be reset. You will have to have a fully charged battery to reset the system. With a full charged battery turn the ignition forward until the warning lights come on and leave the key in the on position for 15min. Turn key off and wait 10sec. then try and start. You may have to perform this procedure a couple of times, however, it is usually successful the first try. The reduced power light can be set by a low voltage/poor charge battery

Car wont start and key stuck in ignition

Sounds like you are losing the power from the battery. Loose connection somewhere between the battery and the fuse box. The car is going into security mode (which prevents the car from starting). This happens when people change the car battery. Leaving the ignition key on for 10 minutes and the security light quits flashing. Car starts. I would be looking at the battery connections and other main power leads going the the relay center. Good luck.

Car not starting, battery charged by son's car, still wont' start.

More than likely its your ignition switch going or gone bad. Ok, here's what you do, turn the key to the on position but DO NOT CRANK, let the key stay in this position until the security light stops flashing (takes 5 to 10 minutes) then turn the key off and crank it immediately after. If your car cranks then you will need to replace your ignition switch ($120 to $160). Hope this information helps someone. .

Help! Alternator warning light is on? I would like to seek some helpful advise with regards to the Alternator warning light when the ignition is initially switched on and go out when the engine is...

I can't say 100%, but as far as I know, there are a number of lights that come on when starting a car. The alternator light is one of them. Is it possible that you never noticed it before? On my car, the check engine light comes on, the engine trouble light comes on, the seat belt light comes on, the air bag light comes on, the abs brakes light comes on and there are probably others.
I think what you are seeing is normal.
Do you have any problems? Is the battery dying? Is the car stalling? If not, you are probably OK.

My 2004 330ci won't start, does not turn over. The battery is fine, all electrical in the car work fine, plus trying to jump car does not work & a green light is showing on the battery in the truck....

If the battery is fine, why jump it? Faulty thinking to state or think: all electrical in the car work fine. If it did the starter motor would be turning the engine over. The starter motor work on electrical...not all is fine.

check: 1) 60a starter fuse/relay. 2) voltage to starter when turning key to activate starter motor, this will rule out ignition switch or relay. 3) apply direct voltage to starter motor to detect bad starter motor.
