You say refrigerant is "full", but it can have too much. If you have attempted to "top off" your refrigerant then you may have too much, keeping the compressor from engaging. If you haven't messed with it and the compressor just stopped engaging on it's own then I would start checking the relay, fuse and the ac switch.
IF the clutch is not engaging it may be due to the Freon being low. There is a low limit switch on the AC system. You can verify that by checking the pressure, or using a meter to check the clutch.
Tap the clutch with a hammer lightly while a/c is on full blast. If it still doesnt engage its time for a new one. Future reference in the winter keep your heat on defrost some of the time, it activates your clutch in the A/C compressor so the bearings wont seize when you go to turn it on, on a hot day.
check for bad fuse under hood. also check for ac relay issue. also under hood . you will find a power dis. center under the hood. (just like a fuse panel)the system does use pressure switches, but check the fuse and relay first. if you have power and ground at the compressor and it does not engage, then the ac clutch is bad. you can check that at the two wires at ac compressor w/ a test light.
Sure you can if the AC clutch is not frozen and the AC pulley moves freely then all you need to do is to unplug the electrical connector from the AC Compressor
You need to have it leak tested and recharged. There's a low pressure switch that won't alow the compressor clutch to engage when there's a leak. If the compressor clutch was engaged without refrigerant and oil circulating it would seize. Don't be surprised if you need a new condenser. Don't use those leak sealer recharge kits as they can do more harm than good, and some AC shops won't touch a car after someone uses leak sealer. They claim there's a different mix of gases in the refrigerant (usually propane) and they can't recycle it, and they don't like customers complaining when the AC doesn't work when it was the leak sealer clogging things up.
I'd bet money it's your Rear Evaporator, located behind the back right tire. Mine just went out, which cost $200 to discover, followed by $811 to replace. My co-worker has the same vehicle, and had the same exact problem six months prior.
If you google search for "06 grand caravan evaporator" you'll find similar posts. And it's not a recalled item, as of this writing.
First suggestion is the clutch not engaging. Check voltage at clutch plug and confirm power source, if there is power there then clutch would work unless it has failed.
