96 to 99. 3.1 and 3.4 engines work. You can go higher on years, but will have to change brackets and sensors. Up to 03 I believe. Main thing you need to watch for is the crank sensor.

SOURCE: 96 Monte Carlo Fuse

look under the hood. take the top of the fuse box and look at the sticker on the inside of the top. It should tell you unless the sticker ore off. Otherwise look in a Chilton's manual at your local library.

SOURCE: Can't find the fuse box for a 96 Monte Carlo

The fuse box is located on the passenger side panel of the dash . you have to open the passanger door to get at it.

The other fuse boxes are under the hood, on each side under a diagonal support arm that has to be removed to get at the fuses & relays

HOW TO REMOVE 4T60E TRANSMISSION FROM A 96 Z34 MONTE CARLO?

You don't have to pull it to replace the TCC. Remove the pan and you can access the TCC solenoid. 40b12bb6-08f8-4f1c-b959-9bfe6f7b08fb.gif

Hello I was wondering if a 4T60-E Transmition from a 1995 Monte Carlo Z34 (3.4L) fit a 1997 Monte Carlo LS (3.1L)??

I just answered the same question for another person. Physically the transmissions will interchange; just be sure to check ALL electrical plug's BEFORE installation AND change your linkage arm. The flywheel SHOULD be the same diameter also, just be sure to check the torque converter bolt pattern b4 installation. Lastly,be sure that the dip sticks are the same........ALL the part's on both transmission's are interchangeable, change as necessary.

Will the 2003 chevy monte carlo crank sensor intrechange with 2006 chevy equinox crank sensor

Looking at the books the cut off was at 2005, up till this year the parts would interchange. Also due to the way GMC does things your parts may still interchange. If the Equinox is a early 2006 production. You can take the parts and compair them to each other.

All compatable motors for a 96 nissan altima. My engine slung a rod, and I was wondering what are all the engines that will fit in this car so that it may be easier to locate.

Usall junkyards have interchange books to show what fits, from what years. Also check car-part.com, you list the year make model and part, they will show you junkyards with the correct motor and the year its out of.

'96 monte carlo autoseat wotn move forward or backward

Individual motors for horizontal and vertical movement. Try moving seat while looking under at motors. Once you find the one that is not moving, try holding switch to foreward position and tap on motor with a screwdriver handle. This may get it going long enough to move so you can reach the pedals easier.

Monte carlo

well donna that depends on how the engine is taken care of. if you change engine oil and filters every 3000 miles and do regular tune ups your vehicle can potentially have no major engine componant failure for at least 150,000-200,000 miles. you have most likely either a 3.4 or a 3.8 V6 engine and for the most part those GM engines are very durable. Timing chain and gear issues are something no on can really predict but the better you take care of the vehicle the less likely you are to have to repair it. your vehicle is 12 years old and at an average of 15,000 -20,000 miles a year your vehicle is already at the threshold of it's max potential. so it could fail tommorow or never. the only way to determine the true condition of the componant is to look at it and this requires some work. hope this gives you some idea. please rate this.. thanks
