Why aren't parking lights working?

Park lamp fuse 20amp located in the under hood fuse box .DRL control module
Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Control Module
Right of the steering column, behind the IP
Park, Sidemarker, Tail and License Lamps
Voltage is applied continuously to the PARK fuse to the headlamp and the instrument panel (IP) lamp dimmer switch through CKT 1340.
When the headlamp and the (IP) lamp dimmer switch is in the PARK or HEAD position, voltage is applied to CKT 9 thus activating the following lamps:
• The park lamps
• The side marker lamps
• The tail lamps
• The license lamps
The park/turn lamps are the only lamps that do not activate yet receive a current from CKT 9. The park/turn lamps do not activate because the voltage drop across the front side marker lamps is much higher than that across the turn lamp filaments Step

Outback 2005 (Canada) both license plate lights not working. Changed both bulbs, changed no. 14 fuse in car (although other lights were working), removed inside paneling and checked connectors... last...

You're on the right track. Though I don't have Subaru manuals, I'm sure they use the same wire as the tail lights. Trace the wires to that connection in the back and also the ground wire to the frame.

Just recently my licence plate light and exterior trunk lights stopped working. I thought it was simply two burnt out licence plate lights when I discovered the rest didn't work either. I found all this...

There is a wiring harness that connects all those lights on the trunk lid to the system. There usually is a connection to take the trunk lid off. IT is near the hinge support legs that lead from the lid to the hinges under the rear deck of the passenger compartment. Check that connection to be sure that it is not loose or damaged. IF it is not loose or damaged then the ground connection through the chassis parts that mount the trunk lid are suspect or there is a broken wire in the harness.

When i start my sunfire the service light with a little wrench comes on

the service light with wrench is for service vehicle and is on possibly because there is a burned out light bulb on the exterior. turn lights on and check every light even the license plate light. i bet there is a bulb out somewhere. check every light and hopefully this is the problem.
