I have a 2001 Hyundai accent with the 1.5 l single overhead cam I need the torque number and sequence for The rocker shafts

The torque specification for the rocker shafts on the 2001 Hyundai Accent with the 1.5L single overhead cam engine is 18-20 lb-ft. The proper torque sequence is as follows:
  1. Tighten the bolts to 8 lb-ft in a crosswise pattern.
  2. Increase the torque to 15 lb-ft, again in a crosswise pattern.
  3. Finally, tighten the bolts to the full torque of 18-20 lb-ft, again in a crosswise pattern.
Make sure to use a torque wrench and follow the sequence carefully to ensure proper tightening and prevent damage.

There are no timing marks. There is is a slot in the end of the cam shafts. With number one cylinder at top dead center use a metal strip to align the slots and torque the cam cap bolts.CAUTION !! Torquing the caps when number one cylinder is not at the top may bend valves.

2008 forenza 2.0 cam shaft torque specifications

most likely the torque specs are the same as the other model engine that is in your manual just be sure to tighten them slowly and equally back in forth in small increments because those cam shafts can snap very easily

Do I need to torque the cam shafts

If you are asking about the cam shaft bearing caps, the answer is a most definite YES! I can't remember the exact measurement but believe it should be 12nm.. When bolting down the shafts, hand tighten each cap, pulling the shafts down evenly and then when all caps are fully closed use a torque wrench to complete the job. Regards John

Replaced crank shaft 99 blazer, how do I orientate the crank shaft to the cam? I have set the arrow on the cam gear down turned crank till number 1 piston is very near TDC in alinement with V on the crank...

4.3 liter, right? I think you have it right--see pic below. So it cranks but no fire happening? Did you check firing order, etc.? Getting sparks? Fuel pump coming on? Injectors firing? If you had the engine out of the car, make sure you got all the ground wires back in place, etc.

Where is the water pump located on a 1996 olds aurua the car is over heating

Hi, i would check the thermostat first unless the water pump is leaking as the water pump is where the timing belt is is the timing belt needs removing to get to the pump, take the thermostat out and place it in a tub of boiling water and check if it opens up if it dont then it will need replacing.

you need to bare in mind that it could also be head gasket failure so make sure you get this tested if the thermostat is found to be in working order.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

Is a 99 buick park avenue fuel pump compitable with a 1997 oldsmobile aurora? there both a gm product

According to my parts guide, the fuel pump for your 97 Olds Aurora fits only that and the 97 Buick Riviera's and nothing else. The pump for a 99 Park avenue comes up as a different part number. Hope this helps!
