I'm not sure cannot find owners manual, its in the middle bottom betewwn the speedo and tach
James, I believe this is the indicator lamp for the Automatic Stability Control plus Traction/Dynamic Stability Control. If the lamp stays on after the car starts, the system is deactivated. This means that the system is malfunctioning or has been deactivated with the button. The button is above and to the left of the left cup holder and should turn the light off (ie: activate the system). If it doesn't, you probably have a malfunction and should consult a Service Tech. Hope this helps. Phil

Actually i think it means that your anti spin control is turned off. in my bmw the button for asc is located just in front of the gearstick. try pushing the button.
It sounds like the DSC fault that I have on my 320ci, apparently I need a new steering angle sensor.

Brake pads
●
Have the brake pads checked
immediately.
For your own safety: use only
brake pads that BMW has
released for your particular vehicle
model. BMW cannot evaluate nonapproved
brake pads to determine if
they are suitable for use, and therefore
cannot ensure the operating safety of
the vehicle if they are installed.<

SOURCE: warning light on - yellow - exclamation mark
That's the traction control warning. it should only come on if you turn the system off, or when the system is actually "doing its think" when there is wheel slip. If it is on all the time, there is a fault in the system. In this case, you'll have to have the fault codes for the traction control & ABS system read.

hi, in my book it says, the (!_) with the exclamation mark in middle is..low tyre pressure, and the triangle on is the stability control and traction control..you should have a button on the centre consol to turn this on and off if it does not turn off you will have to take it to main dealer as there is a fault with it hope this helps
