3400 how do I no which valve gose were - Cars & Trucks

Hi Shelly Porras, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? What valves are we talking about? If you mean the valves in the engine head, you are supposed to keep them in order with their springs and other parts as you disassemble them. If not, I would have the head rebuilt by a shop that will grind the valves such that it doesn't matter anymore.

Codepo300andcodep3400

P0300 is a misfire on any cylinder and P3400 is variable valve timing deactivation error. You did not post the make model and year but the 3400 would cause the 300.

How do I adjust valve lash on a 2001 pontiac montana 3400 enging

The lifters are hydraulic, so adjusting them is not possible. The lifters can take up very little play, so valve ticking when cold is normal. I have had two of these engines. Be sure to have the heads torqued properly, to keep play at a minimum.

Where is the pvc valve located on a 1999 pichup with a 3400 engine

the PCV valve is located on the rocker/valve cover usually, if not it is at the end of a rubber hose coming from the rocker/valve cover. usually resembles a 90 degree elbow and is plastic.
