Often there are not any broken parts when an engine is ran low on oil.. The engine never really makes it to far out of oil before it welds the pistons to the side walls seizing the engine tight. Every now and then a rod will break because at hiway speed the engine went empty the piston seized but the crank and rod did not thus pulling it with such force to snap it in half then producing sometimes a hole in the engine block, hood, oil pan where ever it decides to go. And this is about it Crank not often cam not often. Hope this helps

My 1999 Eclipse gs engine light came on, DTC P1390.

P1390 - Timing belt skipped one tooth or more.

the engine is an interference engine so if the timing belt skipped, it should be fixed before starting the engine again. otherwise you run the risk of bend/break valves from piston to valve contact

Replace Fuel Filter

Just unbolt it on top and bottom and replace (remember to use two wrenches so that you don't break the hard fuel line or the mounting bracket).
The filter is located directly beneath the windshield washer fluid resivior. You will have to remove the washer fluid resivior and possibly the brake fluid resivior as well as they both get in the way.

Disconnect the filter on a surface were it's OK to spill gas on the ground, when you take the hose of it will pour out it's contents.
