My seat belt light stays on in my BMW Z4. Is there a solution to this.

Get the codes read to find out which airbags are throwing a fault

It indicates CAUTION !!!
It could be something to do with engine, engine oil, emission etc.
Have it checked by an authorized mechanic.

OK, long story but here it goes (hopefully the length will help with ... I hook the jumpstarter up to the battery, let it sit 1-2 minutes, then ... The AZ rep. tells me that my battery is at 9V and this is why my car .... Mein Auto: 2004 X3 2.5i ... If battery is original (2005) it is more than likely one cell has shorted out. Z4 starter motor and related problems.

I could not start my Z this morning after not driving it for the past 4 days because of the weather. All lights come on the dash including the head lights but it won't crank. ... If the starter is not cranking because of the battery being too drained .... BMW Z4 2.5i started slow and finally would make a clicking noise.

If the lights are switched then the switch controls a rely all lights are switched on bmw. Can use fog lights temporarily. Find rely test with continuity meter when on, disconnect lights first, then turn on lights switch, check for 12v at light bulb terms, if 12v then bulbs bad, if not relay is bad, test with continuity meter, rely should read 0 ohms when lights switched on, infinite open circuit when switched off. If lights work in manual switch pos then solar sensor bad.

have your brake pads checked that a brake pad warning light

you can substitute with another coolant, but the manufactors one is recommended for many reasons. Best of all because it has been tested for the heatin BMW engines. Mix it 50/50 with water and I'd reccommend using the bmw coolant to stop overheating and causeing serious damage i.e. gead gasket.

Check fluid in resivour. May be low or empty.

I brought a z4 in last year into Canada. A dealer has to set the computer up. You can't do yourself. Took about 10 min. and cost me 50 bucks by a Denver dealer.

If its yellow, thats a good thing. Check in the trunk that the two knobs that hold the top when retracted are in the down position. Top should drop like it always has. LOVE MY Z4!

The Exhaust Emission Light can come on if the car is driven slowly over short distances.It will not happen on cars driven at speed. A short trip of ten miles at over 3000 revs should reset the warning light,although it may not go out for a couple of days after you have tried it . Hope this helps and saves a bill at the local dealer. JK
