Hi Janieanip01,
Again we need more imfo....Is the vehicle injection?....If it is you'll have to wait until the fuel rail is re-pressurised before it will start....Crank it for about ten seconds at a time so as not to burn out the starter motor....It may be that the vehicle didn't run out of fuel but instead the pump may have given in....and when did you last replace the fuel fiter?

SOURCE: changing the tail light bulbs on a 2000 mazda 626

The Tail Lights Are Accessed From The Inside Of The Trunk There Will Either Be A Panel Immediately Behind Where The Light Is Or Carpet. Remove It And It Will Give You Access To The Rear Of The Bolts Just Grab Twist And Pull And The Light Will Come Out.

SOURCE: My Mazda 626 Wont go into Drive

Sounds like you have lost the transmission. There are bands that clamp down to lock the transmission into the gear you want. They are controlled by a hydrolic unit located in the trans. The first thing I would do is have a shop pull the trans oil pan and see if it is full of chips of metal. If so you definately have a problem. At the same time they can look at the bands and see if one of them is broken. another cause would be that metal has gotten into the hydrolic valve body and frozen the drive band portion so it will not function. You may also get lucky and have it be an internal adjustment of the drive band. Good Luck, RAC

What vehicle? What switch? What polarity???
COME ON!! Even our staff psychics couldn't decipher this one!
It should go without saying that you will need to include the YEAR, MAKE, and MODEL of your vehicle in order for a diagnosis to be suggested.
It would sure help if you listed the YEAR, MAKE, and MODEL of your vehicle as a starting point.
