Engines stopping at lights can sometimes be attributed to a vacuum leak in the brake booster
test by idling the engine with the hand brake on and no foot brake then apply the foot brake and if the engine dies then it is the brake booster
hard to restart may be the vacuum leak if you still have your foot on the brake.

SOURCE: my car started dying and now hasnt enough charge to start

sound like bad battery cables.replace them.the positive battery cable is old and have a lot of resistance not allowing power to the alternator to charge battery.if battery cable good check alternator connector wires.make sure they are not damage also check alternator fuse and fuse link.turn off radio before removing battery wires so you wont lose radio code.

SOURCE: engine quit when stopped at

Sounds like the fuel pump is going out. Replace the filter first, as it's only $10. If that doesn't fix it, then it's probably the pump, which is $250.

Theft light comes on while driving then engine dies also at stops car starts after dying

Battery condition? Charging system? if neither I'd start looking for some bad connections. Corrosion does some funny things.
Electrical problem are hard to sort out. Did you have it worked on recently? Did it start doing this soon after the work was done?
If so take it back. Some wiring may have been disturbed. It may be a "heavy" wire that moves forward when you stop and allows the engine to start again. Almost sounds like the starter is not properly tight. and moving around to cause this. Double check.

Starts and dies unless I rev it up then it will Idle

The battery might be low but I doubt it is causing the "no idle" problem.
You should have an idle air control valve that the computer uses to adjust idle speed. That valve could be faulty or dirty.
Is the check engine light on when the engine is running ?

When stopped at a red light my car shut off

this may have been caused by the alternator not putting out proper voltage. have car scanned and find the codes. if power is lost to pcm and other sensors the vehicle will die out. after the problem is fixed, turn off check engine light with scanner. good luck carl, check alternator voltage. car off should be at least 13 volts, when running should be 14 to 14.5.

1994 Ford Escort dies at stops

I had the same problem a year ago. I problem was that the intake manifold gasket had a small hole and it was causing the computer to constantly change the air to fuel ratio. The constant changing cause the engine to die at stops.

BMW 318ti '95 my car doesnt start up properly...

The most common cause of this problem is a defective check valve in the fuel pump, another less common issue is using the wrong octane gasoline.

1998 Chevy Blazer

It sounds to me as though you may have an alternator concern and when it is running all it using is the battery and will die when the battery runs down.I would charge the battery up and start the truck then using a digital volt meter and take a voltage reading at the battery with the lights on and the engine running it should read between 13.1 volts and 15 volts if it doesnt you probably need an alternator.
Let me know
