I know this website www.reliable-store.com that i get manuals from, and they have all models online that solve all simple/technical problems like professionals
I also brought for my 1989 BMW, such old model, they had it and it was very good manual. Go ahead, I bet.
it sounds like the security system does not recognize the key try your spare key if you have one, if thats the same it may be the key transponder module faulty or a can network problem. it really needs to go on suitable diagnostic equipment to identify the fault, hope that helps.
the problem you have is caused by the pats anti theft system is not recognising your key it may be the transponder or you may need a new key and get it programmed by a jag dealer or someone with the needed gear to do it with best advise take it to a jag dealer
it is the starter motor brushes (what makes power delivery while rotating ) its a simple part but essential for proper start up replace it won`t cost too much you are a jag driver
If the light stays on when your moving that shows a problem....I think that what your seeing is the computer testing the verious curcuits as its programmed to do
You do not show a Model Year for your car. If it was built by Ford, you should have some taped numbers on the trunk hinge or the hood hinge. They are usually 5 digits. Also door hinge or glove box area.
Enter the numbers on the keypad and then insert the ignition key and start. If that fails to work contact the dealer with your Vin#. You Jag may be under warranty anyway as they have longer warranties.
Add Duplicate Key (PK3 or PK3+ key)
1. Insert an existing key into the ignition cylinder. 2. Turn the ignition cylinder to ON (RUN) and back to OFF. 3. Remove the existing key and, within fifteen seconds, insert the new key and turn it to ON (RUN). 4. The security light will light up for two seconds to indicate success in programming the key into the vehicle. Originate New Master Key (PK3 or PK3+ key)
1. Insert new key into ignition cylinder and turn it to the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten minutes. 2. When the security light goes out, you have one minute to start the next step. Turn the ignition cylinder to OFF and then back to the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten more minutes. 3. When the security light goes out, you have one minute to start the next step. Turn the ignition cylinder to OFF and then back on the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten more minutes. 4. After the security light has gone off the third time, the key has been programmed into the vehicle’s computer and will operate the car. It has replaced ALL the previous electronic key codes and is the ONLY key programmed into the vehicle’s computer.

To get the remote start going again, I remembered a time when my Explorer phob would not open the doors automatically, I was told to insert the key and toggle it from off to "run" (not starting it, but having the radio and lights come on) position about 4 - 5 times to reset it. I tried that with the car, and it worked!!
