'02 sonata...changed fuel filter and now wont start

Yea , what's your question ? Doesn't start an run , only when you spray starting fluid into the engine ? You do or don't know what lean codes are ? Did you check the electrical circuit for fuel pump . Amperage draw test etc.... Check fuel pump relay ! Videos on youtube testing fuel pump electrical circuit . Did you change fuel filter ?

Fuel Problem with the Hyundai Sonata

Check your fuel relay.

NOTEThe fuel filter is located underneath the car, near the fuel tank.

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
3. Remove or disconnect the following:
   
   Negative battery cableFuel supply and pressure linesFuel filter bracket, if equippedFuel filter
   

To install:

Fig. Remove the fuel filter

1. Install or connect the following:
   
   Fuel filter and torque the mounting bolts to 18-25 ft. lbs. (25-35 Nm)Fuel filter bracket, if equippedFuel supply and pressure linesNegative battery cable
   
2. Start the engine, check leaks and repair if necessary.

FUEL FILTER INTEGRATES WITH THE FUEL PUMP. YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE FUEL PUMP TO REPLACE FUEL FILTER.REMOVE FUEL PUMP UNDER BACK SEAT.

Have you checked the fuel pump relay?

mcdevito75 here It could be a faukty fiel pump, bad ignition module. Have your local repair shop check it out.

theres a fuel pump relay in the power distribution box under the hook you manuel should tell u wich one

hi is there fuel getting to engine?any vapour coming out exhaust?sometimes glow plugs not working can cause this.try a squirt of easy start into air filter.NOT MUCH!!READ INSTRUCTIONS.HIGHLY FLAMMABLE.then start car for about 10secs.get this from car accessorie shops.if it fires on this its highly likely glowplugs not working or fuel pumptiming out.its hard to say without seeing the car

It sounds like you need a new fuel filter. if that is to dirty, it wont allow the correct amount of full to be pushed to the engine. try changing that or using a Fuel treatment in the meantime. Hope this helps :)
