I have a 95 blazerr, the blower motor stopped working, ive put in two toggle switch but they both quit working

A toggle switch will only work on a fresh cable, which is wired directly to the alternator or the battery. If you put a toggle switch on the existing electric fan wire, you will not be able to turn it on as long as the engine management does not send you current.

Coolig fan not working on 2000 jeep 4 .0 what do i do to fix it?

Frank, a few things to check any fuses blown ? is there a separate relay for it ? some jeeps use a coolant temp sensor to make fan come on, located next to thermostate , is your A/C fan working ?it uses the same power sorce.

1996 Saturn Fan won't work

-Why you want to hook up a switch to the fan...? You want to turn it on when you want?
-No Problem. Here some basic installation.
-Connect the hot wire to the positive (+) battery terminal.
-Connect both left over wire to the switch. Then connect 1 wire from the other side of the switch to ground. you should be good to cool down.

How to wire fan switch for1997 gmc

i dont know what you mean, if you are tying to put a toggle switch in then run one wire from the fan to a ground on the truck and a wire from the toggle to the fan you will also need a hot wire from the battery to the toggle with a fuse inbetween, but the first thing you want to check is make sure the fuses and the relay are good and you have no broken wires if they are good then hook up a neg- and a pos+ wire to the fan if it comes on the change the temp sensor and the fan should work on its own when the truck gets hot

Mazda tribute cooling fan

sounds like the motor itself could be burnt out and usually when that happens u have to replace the motor itself....i actually had the fan stop working in a Taurus one time and i hot wired a wire from the fan motor to the battery and another wire to the "fan" on the fuse box (at the driver side) straight into a toggle switch i made into the dash by the steering column....it bypassed the relay and once i hit that toggle switch i would turn the fan on and off anytime i wanted to....if this is something u may try to do then it would save u alot of money and time with ur project....im not saying it would be successful in ur situation but i worked for mine....the only thing is, the toggle is ran off the battery and once u shut ur car off u always wanna make sure the toggle switch is off or it will run ur battery down....hope this helps and good luck

The fan to the motor is not working

My friend had a geo metro and his radiator fan stopped working due to a wiring problem and he had to run a toggle switch to it and then it worked fine. Try hooking a live wire to the battery to the fan and see if it comes on and if it does just hook it up with a toggle switch.

My radiator fans are not working and I am afraid that the fan relay went out and am going to check it tomorrow. Will it hurt anything to straight wire the fan to always run?

well you see the relay is built to switch a higher current circuit using a smaller current. it is a safety hazard as using just a toggle switch will allow too much current to flow thru the circuit. you should replace the relay. now if after you replace the relay the fans dont work but the fans are good(ran power wire directly to fan for testing purposes) then as a temporary measure you wire a switch to Control thr relay(relay actually handles the fan current). find the fan relay. it should have 5 pins. on the case of the relay there should be a diagram.

the numbering should be the same.

using an ohm meter checkthe relay socket pin86 with red lead, black lead connected to ground. if zero ohms, then that is ground and pin85 of relay socket is +. pin30 should read 12 volts with meter, run wire from here to one side of a toggle switch located near steering wheel so you can access it when you start car. other side of toggle switch runs to pin85.with the small wires into the relay socket still in place, plug in relay. throw toggle switch to on and if everythings connected, fans should come on.

How do i wire engine fans to a toggle switch in the cabin of a 1997 pontiac firebird trans am ws6?

The simplest way would be to run a wire from the positive battery post to your toggle switch. Make sure you put a fuse in it. Then run from the toggle switch back out to the fan. Unplug the factory wiring and plug you wire onto the power feed terminal at the fans. To find that, just use a jumper wire from the battery to each prong on the fan until it turns on. Plug your toggle switch to that prong. Hope this helps.

How do the radiator fans work? straight 12 V power in ground out? What damage could be done by wiring one fan directly, with a toggle switch, and hooked to a fuse and then grounded?

it's controled by a fan switch, when it get to a certain temperature the switch closed and power the relay which makes contact to feed power to the fan.
you can do a toggle switch like that, make sure you have right size of wires and the switch can handle the load, and the fuse is the right amp.
the possible damage is that if you ever forget to turn off it will drain your battery and make the fan motor go bad quicker.

On my 1997 ford escort with a 2.0 liter push rod engine the electric radiator cooling fan never turns off even when cold. Whats causing the problem?

THE COOLIG FAN RELAY MAY BE STUCK,PULL IT OUT AND THE FAN SHOULD QUIT.THE TEMPERATURE SENSOR COULD ALSO CAUSE THIS UNPLUG IT,FAN SHOULD QUIT.IF NONE OF THIS WORKS THEN HAVE THE WIREING CHECKED.
