Runs great, went into store came out would not start. key would not come out after AAA jump start car seemed to rum very rough would not go over 30mh. turned off would not start light flicked when off

I suggest that you take the starter motor to an accredited auto electrician as it indicates a dry joint problem in the armature bars
the fix is
the bars can be re-soldered
or My preference -- a new armature

Start by testing alternator and battery most auto parts store will test for free.

There is allways a chance of harming an electrical system wene jump starting but doubtfull check alternater for out put 13.0 -14.0 volts

if the car will jump off doesn't matter what AAA said battery is bad, either terminals are excessively corroded, or battery has a dead cell internally, remove battery and take to a reputable auto parts store or repair shop and have tested, also have load tested it is bad.

I doubt the service person did anything wrong. In today's cars with both engine and body computers, jump starting a car can be risky.
You're better off having the battery charged for an hour or so then trying to start it.
You may have to have the body computer scanned and possibly flashed to get everything working again. The body computer controls everything you mentioned. It could have lost some of the factory programming when the system was dead.

this sound to me like at first I thought it was a fuse, as the problem went on it shifted more toward a weak cell in the battery, if a weak cell sits for a little while the battery will not hold the charge in that cell and that will cause loss of power, "its charge", in tne other cells. you had mentioned you used another battery and it ran great but when the battery was removed, things went wrong. You may check to see if there is water in your battery

You most likely have a bad battery since the car starts with a jump. As for the steering problem you have electronic power steering. Most newer cars have this nowadays. Battery problems can cause this problem also.

Needs a battery, or you have a draw pulling it low.
