When I start the car up, the dashboard doesn't function, while in drive, the speedometer doesn't register, the tachometer doesn't register, the oil levels don't register. After it's on the road for 30 or more minutes, everything starts working. I never know how fast or slow I am going, or whether the gas tank is empty or half full.
The car is a 1998 Saab 900SE Turbo, convertible.
How can I get these problems fixed?
Same happened to mine. There's a single plug style connector on the back of the cluster panel, you need to pull the bottom panel covers (there's 2) and reach up in and snap the plug back in place. It's directly above the steering column so you can only stick your fingers far enough to reach it but it worked for me
Get a diagnostic scan to find wats goin on in that computer system-discount A does um for free-it will tell u if there is a failin sensor etc-if it doesnt solve problem then get onother one or more from dealer etc-the more opinions the better
