Still blows cold air, but only from the defroster position... speed levels work, but when i adjust to another vent position it still only blows from the defroster...
Check under your hood for a loose or leaking vac line , The A/C system on your jeep uses manifold vac to move the air mix doors and with no vac the air mix door will move into the defrost position. Find your vac leak and that will fix your problem.

You may want to check the two water houses that feed the heater core. they both have to be hot. (they are usually located next to the thermostat housing.) If they are cold first check the coolant level. Fill up if needed, then you may have to check of there is an obstruction by the housing or the heater core is clogged up. I would first disconnect the hoses and see inside the thermostat housing with a lamp. Also blow some Air inside the heater core to see if flushing is needed. Well if those hoses are both hot then that must be a problem inside the cabin with the vents selection. Either an electric switch or cable. But there are already a few things to check first.
Fan as mentioned, but can be a fuse, or fan speed control. If you can get to plug on fan can feed power and ground to see if it runs. Common for the speed control to go bad. Some models have a ceramic block with a coil in it. The coil consumes power to allow slow speed fan meeting. They get hot and burn up.
There are many possible causes for this. A good place to start would be to make sure your radiator fluid is filled up to the cold level when the engine is cold and to the hot level when your engine is hot.
Ok, if you are trying to use your AC and its not turning on, odds are your refrigerant levels are low, the system will not turn on when low fluid levels are present so the system doesnt burn up the compressor.
If your blower motor is not operating, you may have a fuse blown that needs to be replaced, or the control chip that plugs into the blower motor (for fan speed settings) has burned up (easy fix).
If your climate control is not throwing out heat when you change the settings to hot, you have a leaky vaccume line and the vaccume pressure is not strong enough to open or close (depending on setting) your blender box. Although typically when a vaccume line springs a leak you will have issues with your selector switch as well (defrost, vent, floor)
Also pay attention to your temp gauge to make sure the thermostat is operating properly, and the engine is not over heating ro getting excessivly hot! If it is, then you need to replace the thermostat ($8 part)
and go from there. Also you should check your heater core, if it gets clogged or has restricted coolant flow, your system wont have the heat it normally did (if any) when it worked properly.
This is just a quick summery of the area's you should be looking into for the problems you are having! thanks for using Fixya.com and good luck, I hope I have helped make resolving your problem alittle easier
While in defrost mode press and engage a/c button on dash(leave in hot air position) and see if that helps with defrost issue. What this does is with a/c operating it removes moisture from the air in car which is all fogged windows are is humidity build up.Dont worry cold air wont blow through vents even though a/c on due to position of hot/cold adjuster.
How cold is it there and does your engine cool down any while going slow? If it does it may mean you need a hotter thermostat installed, My first thought would be to check the coolant level in the radiator and the coolant reservoir! Hope this helps and Merry Christmas
Yeah, I would go up hill or pull away from a stop and the A/C would cut out and then come back once my speed was stabilized. It was a vacuum hose leak !! This mostly affected the upper dash blower fan.
