Ml350 with timing belt or timing change?
Not normally most mercs have a chain timing belt so dont need doing its only need replacing if its worn which in most cases you can here a rattle from the engine dont let any one tell you they need changing every so many thousand miles as this is rubbish mine has 176000 miles and still has originall chain hope this helps

Switch ignition on and immediately press the button to the bottom left of the speedo (trip reset type button) TWICE !!
Switch Ignition off
Press and hold same button while switching ignition on.
After 10 seconds a new interval will display followed by a beep.
Release the button and switch ignition off.
All done.

Turn key to position 2. press the button to show the service due light. release button. turn key off. press and hold the same button to view the service light, within 2 second turn key to position 2. wait up to 10 second and the light will reset to show new service. This may take a couple of trys (make sure the doors are shut).

In the owners manual should be a self reset procedure. If you cant find it hop on over to benzworld.org and look around.

you can try disconnecting the battery again and see if the light goes away but usually when a srs light comes on the only way to clear it is with the 'sds' which the dealer has and sometimes the independent shops might have one too. Mercedes doesn't allow you to reset it from the vehicle due to it being safety related. when the srs light is on all your airbags and seatbelt etr's are disabled. if your vehicle has pre-safe then you will have to just drive it around til it relearns the steering angle sensor again. if that's the case it will say see owners manual in the display of the instrument cluster when showing the fault.
