2000 corvette can't open trunk with dead battery

Does back seat fold down if so do that and crawl in trunk. All trunks have to have a emergency release handle

Pretty common C5 problem. This is what I do.

Roll the windows up, use the trunk release inside the car on the dash. Once you close the driver's door the air pressure will pop the trunk up about 1/2" which is enough for you to get your fingers underneath.

Lift the magnetic held,hinged "B" on the
trunk/bootlid and use the key.

the key wont fit the hatch? if this is case go to dealer and have them cut a key for the hatch they can do it by vin number.there is no other way to get in vehicle if battery is dead

If your battery is dead, and you don't have the key, you are not gonna get the trunk open. However, if the car is unlocked, and you have another vehicle to power the car by jumper cables, you may be able to use the button inside to open the trunk. Otherwise, you'll need to install a new battery.

hello,try to look your stater motor,big cable connected to battery,you can install your cable to have power, only for opening your trunk,charge your bsattery outside,ty

you can charge the battery from the engine compartment. check your owners manual that is the correct place to jump and to charge the battery.

2000 jag trunk locked dead battery-use MASTER KEY ONLY to open trunk location is above rear lic plate looks like hex screw ---the valet key will not open trunk-you cannot go thru back seat thr release for them are in the trunk-hope this helps someone
