The diode in the AC Clutch may be bad and it backfeeds too much current causing electrical chaos.

Have your IAC Idle Air Control valve checked. It can let your engine stall when the AC is engaged if not working properly. Can you scan it for codes ?

    x2
or never tuned up this decade (in 9years)
    time to get it serviced.
and when done the mech will tell you if the A/C is bad (seized)

That is called a stalled engine , causes p/s to get harder to turn, key "on" , but never lockup...ever.
steering lockup is something else and vastly dangerous moving..

stalls have over 50 causes. ill not list all 50
1:never ever tuned up?, the 60k mile service skipped?
spark parts and filters.... bla bla.
2: ISC bad, stuck , clean it.yet>?
3: EGR stuck open rpm is already too low and A/C pushes it over the cliff... (tunes check this)
4: A/c compressor seizing? (get it checked)
5: lean fuel mixture. (lots of causes ask if you have tools how to find that, i bet NOT)
6: spark bad, not tuneup relate, say coil pack bad.
7: ever use a scan tool and see if there are DTC errors at the stall say, P03xx errors??
my guess is you dont know how to scan if true then why not get car serviced, and not ask for help to do things you can't do. or are unwilling to do or buy the tools needed.?
lots more, if list all parts that can weaken and engine cause it to not have enough power to run AC.
does engine have full power in demand by you. up hills? (bam,.shoe falls off other foot)

answered now in pure physics.!
1: a weak engine, for 50 reasons. includes ISC bad.
2: A/C compressor seizing.

looks like you crossed 60k there, with no tune up?>

  • Anonymous Jun 19, 2015

your right foot, can it prevent the stall.
this is a free simple powerful test. and points to reasons WHY!
if easy to prevent. ISC stuck closed (clean it)?
if tad hard, EGR stuck open. (again, clean it)
if impossible? (lost spark or lost fueling)
this test is simplistic. but you're on fixya
and not talking to real hands on mechanics.

if you failed to get the spark plugs replaced
it will misfire. and will stall.
100 year + running true. called getting care properly serviced. (prevention)
spark plugs are like $2 each. taxis home 10x more..tows are 100x more.

that shaking is the RPM is too low, or EGR stuck open (same reason for slow)
    it's only evidence... that shaking.
and if it shook at 800 rpm that too would be PRIME GRADE evidence your mech sees.
that we can never see here, as we are blind.

SOURCE: steering wheel locks up when parked

Although the car is not in front of me, it sounds like when you park ( is this parallel parking ? ) your steering wheel is turned hard to the left or right, which creates extreme pressure on the steering wheel lock. In order to help overcome this problem, you must "armstrong" the steering wheel in the same direction the front wheels are turned. Locking up on the freeway with this same issue. Highly unlikely.

SOURCE: Steering warning light on 2005 suzuki reno

Speed Sensitive Power Steering
(SSPS) Warning Light
If your vehicle has Speed Sensitive Power
Steering (SSPS), this warning light will
come on briefly when you turn the ignition
to ON as a check to show you the bulb is
working.
Then it should go out after a few seconds.
If the warning light does not come on, have
it fixed so it will be able to warn you if there
is a problem.
If the warning light stays on, or comes on
while you are driving, the SSPS system
may not be working. If this happens, see
your SUZUKI dealer for service.

SOURCE: car steering wheel locked; car won't start

If this is a floor shifter or center console shifter there is actually a lock release next to the shifter. Look next to the shifter handle and you should see a small square plug in the console remove the plug and you will see a little white button in it this is the shifter release push it and you can move the shifter.
