The dvd player in my 2006 Toyota Sequoia isn't working....no pic no sound. We've already replaced the batteries in the remote. Is there anything we can tey before we take it in?

If I unplug all the wires from the CD player won't the security system lock up my stereo system? Which means that I have to go to a dealer to get the code from them.

Hi, Contact your dealer and get instructions for reprogramming your remotes. When a security system loses power for an extended amount of time the programming for the remotes are lost.

Previous Post dead wrong...

Turn ignition to "ON" position. Make sure odometer is on trip setting not on total vehicle mileage setting.

Turn ignition OFF

Push and hold odometer button while turning ignition to "ON" position. HOld for about 4-5 seconds until maintenance light goes off. Turn ignition OFF. Start up vehicle. There should be no more maintanence light.

The DVD screen (suspends from roof) is blank/black. You can hear the movie, so I believe the player is working. Replaced the batteries in the remote already as well.

Usually sound is heard through car speakers not by screen... so there might be power problem with screen. If not, you just need to check video cable connected vetween player and screen.

I just bought a 2005 Toyota Sequoia Limited. It has the original DVD Player that came with the car. I insert a DVD and can hear the sound but I don't see the DVD in the player in the back. Does anyone know...

as you hear the sound, means there is communication! double check video cable connection: you should be using 3 connectors cabling (Red, White and yellow). make sure same color for video both ends....good luck
