SOURCE: P0136, P1131, and P1151 codes on Ford Expedition 2000 4.6L

Your auto has four O2 sensors. Two upstream and two downstream; With two banks. Bank 1, sensor 1...and bank 2, sensor 1 are the two upstream (exhaust manifold before the catalytic). Bank 1, sensor 2 and bank 2, sensor 2 (other side of catalytic)

Code 1131= upstream; bank 1..sensor 1
Code 1151= upstream; bank 2..sensor 1
Code P0136 (generic code) bank 1..sensor 2 (questionable)

I wouldn't spend the money to purchase 3 sensors. Highly unlikely all three are bad; Cost is about $40/ ea.
Since there isn't a code for the cat's themselves, I would suspect the O2 circuit is malfunctioning. The rough idle is another clue.

Take an ohmmeter set it on X10 scale and measure the resistance from engine to body and body to negative post on battery terminal. You should read zero ohms (full needle deflection). If you do go buy two upstream O2 sensors. If you read
open or a high resistance run two straps from eng. to body...and body to neg.batt. post.

I have a 2002mercury sable, idles rough but runs good when acceleration. I changed fuel filter, plugs, plug wires, coil, still idles rough.Autozone had three codes, P0316, P1151, P1131. What should I do...

P0316 crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, or a wiring issue. Since this code indicates a start up misfire, pay attention to items which may expand or contract when cold (if the code sets when the engine is cold), or hot (if the code sets on a hot restart).

If you have other misfire codes that pertain to individual cylinders, you should attend to them first P1151 has a huge list of things that it can be, But included in that list is the camshaft position sensor , po1131 is the same thing, all building up to your car is running lean , so I'd do the sensor (cam) and check timing,,

I have a 2002 f150 4.6 codes p1131-p1151-po316-po306 runs bad under 1000 rpms wont idle going down road stumbles at steady 45 mph not sure what to do next what do u think

p0306 is a cyl #6 misfire
p0316 is unknown to me. sry.
p1131 and p1151 deal with the O2 sensors 1151 says Bank 2 Sensor #1 Heater Circuit intermittent. 1131 says that HO2S 11 indicates lean.

p0306. Check the plugs wires and coil at Cyl #6 (second one back from front on drivers side, if it's the same as my Stang)

Idling rough in cold weather codes that come up are p1131 and p1151 need to know what these codes are and what parts they are

DTC P1131 DTC P1151 indicates the system is correcting RICH for an overly LEAN condition. The Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) voltage is less than 0.45 volts. This is usually due to a vacuum leak after the MAF. It can also be caused by a bad PCV valve or PCV system hose. It can also be caused by low fuel pressure or a plugged injector.

Start with the simple and clean the MAF and the IAT sensor. In simple terms, the engine is running lean and is being compensated by the ECM. P1131 is bank 1 and P1151 is bank2

Good luck and keep me posted.

2002 Ford Windstar Error Code P1131 And P1151

those two codes are for the o2 sensors. both are the upstream sensors on the front and rear banks. so they are desinagted bank 1 sensor 1 and bank 2 sensor 1. them most common cause for this is faulty o2sensors , bad gas and of a poor running engine. so if your car runs good (no misfire) and gas is ok then replace the o2sensor witch is the very most common cause.
