Remove the cross member, remove the torque converter bolts and back the bell housing bolts out about an inch, so the transmission will drop some. It's still difficult to get in, but it will go.
Make sure that the old grommet is removed put some lubricant on the end
Or remove the cross member for trans and try jacking up on trans creating a larger space between the fire wall and back of the engine my take some time and usually easier with two people one to push tube down from top and one to guide from underneath good luck
Howdie sounds Like the Tube Is Bent Try Lookin Down It Feel it and see If it is you might have to change it or fix the Bent spot too make it work again
SOURCE: Dipstick tube
there is a bolt on/near the exhaust manifold, then you should be able to wiggle&pull out.
SOURCE: 4L60E blowing Transmission fluid out the dipstick tube
too much oil in tranny, vent tube on top of tranny is blocked!
SOURCE: where is my transmission dipstick or fill
if it has a 4L30 in it it has no distick. the fiter is in the pan. look at the pan it has 2 drain plugs the one position at a higher level is the fill hole the lower the drain. i wouldnt suggest doin this at home unless you have a lift and a way to pressurize your fluid cause it dont flow up.
SOURCE: dipstick for transmission fluid
There is no transmission dip stick... it is a sealed system and no service is necessary. If it's leaking, you'll need to have the seal replaced.
SOURCE: transmission fluid comes back out dipstick tube
try adding one of those "cleaners"/ thinners liquid fluid
it is not cheap
about 30$ fpr a small can
i hope that works and will clean/open it up
