SOURCE: error codes p0700 and p2706

Both codes (obviously) point to transmission related problems.

DTC P0700 - Transaxle Control System Fault Conditions
The P0700 code is for information only and the next step is to check for transaxle codes in the Transaxle Control Module (TCM). So you'll have to have the dealer or another qualified shop/technician pull the transaxle codes from the TCM and go from there.

DTC P2706 - Shift Solenoid "F"
First check your wiring before you get inside and open the tranny up. Could be loose wiring, if not do the operation and make sure you do a heat test with the solenoid before you replace it.

Good luck!

SOURCE: 2000 Dodge Sratus 4 speed auto transmission

Dave, The P0700 code is a generic fault code indicating the the TCM (transmission control module) has recognized a problem and the P0755 is the indicated problem. I'd recommend you check your transmission external electrical connector for water intrusion and corrosion at the terminals by disconnecting the connector. If nothing appears wrong, I'd then recommend you drop the lower transmission pan and take a look at the residue deposit that is laying on the bottom of the pan. You should only see a relativily minor amount of grayish, black clutch material residing there. Pay particular attention for a gross amount of this or any large particular material, including any metal, either filings or chunks, or any brass or aluminum. If this checks out to be fairly clean, then I'd recommend you replace that "B" solenoid (2-3 shift solenoid) and have the trans. pan and filter replaced.; I'd also highly recommend you have the trans flushed for anyother particular matter that may reside internally inside the transmission. You'll have to have the codes cleared and the transmission relearned for shift feel, at that point.

SOURCE: WHAT IS CODE P0700 FOR A 2004 DODGE INTREPID

P 0700 is basically a "generic" code signifying that the Transmission Control Module has detected a fault somewhere within the transmission's electrical system (typically a shift solenoid malfunction). If you see P 0700, take your car to some place that can plug a scan tool into it and retrieve the other codes which are causing your car to display the P 0700 code.

Code p2706

The code P2706 is for Multi-Select Solenoid. It has an open circuit, and the MS solenoid serves primarily to provide second and third gear limp-in operation. The possible causes are the solenoid, a short or open in one or more wires going to the solenoid. It may be possibly the PCM.

03 dodge ram 2500 diesel automatic. Shifts erratically from time

Sounds like solenoid failing . Most of the time when solenoid fails it won't show on the code reader. U can read them with special scanner, but only if you know the proper numbers that will show when u read them. Most good transmission shops, have that tool and they can read it for u.
