If it is really a knock by a mechanics use of the word, it is a SERIOUS wear of a rod bearing. Get some expert advice on this immediately. It it I am right, your engine could come apart and do considerable damage.

SOURCE: The heater motor makes a loud noise when the temp gets below 20

You are probably in the end stage of its life. Prepare for an imminent failure. Mine squealed for a few months off and on before it gave it up. Following the funeral I replaced it. If you are handy and patient, you can replace it, but have all the parts ordered beforehand. I got mine from IPDUSA.com and was happy with the outcome.

Will a 1993 prelude automatic transmission fit my 1992 honda accord

If it's the S model, it *should* as it has a F22 motor in it.. the Si and SE has a H23 motor, and the VTEC has a H22 motor. I have heard of people using the F22 transmission on a Prelude motor for longer gearing at highway speeds (per Honda-Tech.com), but I haven't tried the combination myself

Can you put the motor and 5 seed transmission from a 1993 acura integra into a 1994 honda prelude s

No, your car is set up for hydraulic transmission linkage and the Integra is a cable clutch. The mounting would also be a nightmare. The Integra's front motor mount is way different than the Accord and Prelude. Wiring harness would be another nightmare. Just find an Si, they are pretty cheap now.

Loud knocking oil in the spark plugs

Do a wet/dry compression test and determine if it's the piston rings or the valve seals.

'93 prelude. Starts when it wants to.

i think it could be your Bendix drive. it is the part of the starter that comes out and touches your ring gear. sometimes it becomes worn out and would not catch the teeth of the ring gear right away and it would create this loud grinding noise.

on the other hand, if the Bendix drive is still ok, then there is a probability that your ring gear is the one which has a problem.

good luck,

tnx 4 using fixya, keep me posted,
