ATC Fuse

  • ATC fuses were created before ATM fuses. An ATC fuse will be larger than an ATM fuse in physical size. This is considered to be the regular size. An ATC fuse will be found in late-model electronic devices.
ATM Fuse
  • An ATM fuse is considered to be a mini fuse and it came out in the early 1990s. The only difference is it is smaller than an ATC fuse in actual size. It generally cannot be used in a fuse block that is made for an ATC fuse, as it will not fit in properly.

2006 Infinity m35 - where is AC compressor clutch relay location IT has coolant but clutch is not activated where is fuse or relay

USA car answer, all other electrics good.?
no engine told and fuse boxes located different.
the cab blower must blow air, does it?
the dash AC lamp glows too. if not ,relay stays off
first is fuses.
IDPM under hood
fuse 79 must not be blown. ,frankly I check all fuses. why skip any?
the relay A/c is in the iDPM (and its fuses)
we scan the OBD2 scan port. this AC needs Can_bus network to fully functional or this A/C can go dead./
the Hi/low pressure switch R134 will trip it all off line if too low
or too high both, someone overfilled it. oops, off line it goes.
The IDPM under hood IS A computer, and does not nothing if can_bus fails.

IPDM E/R (Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room) ahhhhhhhhhhm, i see why you ask this,
the IPDM many relays there(LOTS) do NOT REMOVE.
NO socket for A/C relay and NO Rn R number assigned
but is there
the cars users guide is useless for any specific fuse or relay.
only the service manual covers all.

fuses are first, never relays first
then scan the PCM is 2nd.
lots to fail here, it is NOT simple. like in 1980

fuse F12 cab JB powers ESC ,compressor control valve. at pin2 above.
if the HVAC main controls "ATC" does not send a DEMAND for AC
the CLUTCH does not Energized ever.
the blower must work
JB fuses for ATC must be good, cab box
Fuse #6 ,10,11,12 and 19.
ignition relay dead ,so be AC/ relay, but engines runs. so not this.
if the ATC sees any damper motor dead, it may stop A'/C
also most modern cars have s HVAC self test try that?

Richard Will spammer- 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada AWD smartrac 4.3 liter V6 and my ATC fuse keeps blowing it's not pulling up an engine code and I'm trying to figure out y it keeps blowing please help

Sorry but an ATC fuse is a blade style fuse. They are larger than ATM fuses and found in many later model vehicles. Please write back and specify which ATC fuse it is that keeps blowing. It should be related to the ECM, ignition system or fuel system. If there are any other details please include that information as well. Any recent work or repairs performed. Besides scanning for codes. Was there anything strange that you noticed? Anything that isn't powering up or functioning normal?

Where is the cooling fan relay on a 2007 linc town car

there is fuse box in engine compartment passenger side, near coolant resolver tank.

See attached picture, 102 (red circle) is 50A cooling fan fuse.
It's not regular ATC or mini fuse.
It's Jcase fuse which look like square plastic box and those are not cheap as ATC or mini.

2001 jeep grand cherokee, heat and a/c do not bloww hot or cold air

Bernard,

HVAC failure
the car has 2 classes of HVAC< manual and ATC
the blower must blow on high.??? does it on high?
if not, check fuses, for blower. (if lower speeds only fail say so)
the blower is dead,
then say if dash controls are Manual or ATC<
atc = automatic temp, controls with a dash thermostat et cetra.

the diagnostic path is different.
the ATC has self test too. .with over 30 errors possible.

use comments to respond, not a new post. please.

My atc fuse would keep blowing I put a bigger fuse it didn't blow that but I herd a zap noise from my TCCM now my 4x4 won't work 1999 jimmy

What you have done? You Just damage the TCCM and that's why you will not manage to shift 4x4. Why this happened? Because you had shortage somewhere and you receive blown ATC fuse. You put a bigger fuse in capacity where the was stronger to blown and the fault moved to the tccm system which was not protected and blown.Ask for an expert to check and see whether the fault is easy to get fixed.
