This is a very complicated and expensive system to maintain. I would strongly recommend doing a air suspension conversion on your Navigator and be done with the problem forever.

Why have a navigator if you don't have air suspension everyone who wants you to switch the coilovers either sells coilovers or maybe they're just too lazy or not smart enough to deal with the air system it's not that complicated the solenoids are on the bags the pump runs when the sensors work the sensors are cheap on eBay and there is a air control module behind the front bumper on the passenger side that goes bad not that expensive or hard to change hook power up to your pump if it turns on its not your pump if your sensors look bad just buy new ones they're not expensive that leaves the module change the module

SOURCE: need to know the location

those airbag suspension systems are junk. you are going to spend more than the value of the car fixing it and then it will just go bad again in a few years.

take a look at this site, permanent fix for the whole system.

I have a 2005 Lincoln navigator replaced the two front sensors the relay and put a new compressor and now check suspension light is on what do I do

You need to have the air suspension control module fault codes read to see what diagnostics should be run to determine cause.

Code U3FFF

U codes are communication faults between the different modules present on your vehicle. The PCM has to maintain control via separate modules that monitor and control every aspect of it, from engine and emission control, transmission control, anti-lock, traction control, lighting, hvac, suspension control, etc...To diagnose these codes requires a quality scan tool and a technician who is experienced with these systems.

HI ..I recently purchased a 98 Navigator and the previous owner had the rear air bags removed and now there is a 'check suspension " light on dash..can it be deleted ?? thanks Andy

I would re-install them myself, I liek them better, but you can try to find the air suspension control module. It is usually mounted on the AC/Heater box and it will have a black connector and a gray connector. Unplugging the black connector will turn off the “check air suspension light” but it will also disable your power steering tension (variable assist steering) control on the left side of the steering column. So after you unplug the black connector you need to remove the dark green/light green wire pin from the connector and then reconnect that black connector to the module. That will disable only the check air suspension light. Or to make quick work of it you can just identify that black connector to the module and cut the green wire. And be sure to isolate that wire because the “check air suspension light” will come on if it touches ground.
