If you don't have a code reader you can take it the parts store you got the new knock sensor from and they can erace the code or it will go out by it self after a number of start up cycles .

SOURCE: 2005 Toyota Camry - knock sensor

Your sensor went off because it overknocked.
Try using a different type of fuel with a higher octane.
Erase the code and use the better gas. if it comes back then we will worry about replacing it.

SOURCE: code 52 1994 toyota 4runner

Hi,

This code could mean knock sensor, knock sensor circuit, or ECU.When the knock sensor is replaced the wire should be replaced as well. If it's disconnected the knock control system is disabled which may cause engine pinging and the light will stay on.

There is probably a problem somewhere in the engine harness going to the ECM, even though the wires check good with ohm meter with this particular problem I have had to run a new wire from ECM to knock sensor if you replaced the short harness going from main harness to knock sensor under intake then you can try running new wire from short harness connector to ECM just temporarily splice wire at knock sensor connector and, connect a good piece of wire and run it inside of truck to computer and splice into wire at computer and see if code will clear, if so the cut wire at short connector and connect new wire with **** connector or solder and run it along factory harness as best as you can and do the same thing inside at computer. I am assuming you have checked all your connections, if not then do that before trying new wire. the knock sensor wore at computer is black wire on the smallest connector terminal no 5

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Nissan maxima code P0325,P0100 and P0110

Well, sometimes you get lucky replacing parts, but usually its something other than the component in question.
The trouble codes are a guide as to what to test, not what to replace.
Code 325 is for the knock sensor which could be a phantom code.
Code 100 is for a bad signal from the MAF sensor which may or may not be caused by a bad sensor. It could be a vac leak too.
Code 110 is for a bad signal from the intake air temp sensor. The signal tells the computer what the temp of incoming air is to help the computer decide how rich the fuel mixture should be.
You need to get the testing procedures for each code and follow them. I would skip code 325 and start with code 110.
The fuel pump was probably a waste of money unless you checked fuel pressure before you replaced it and it was low. Same thing with the O2 sensors. Very rare if both sensors fail at the same time.

My 96 maxima wont pass emissions in az after replacing 02sensor and knock sensor.do i need to drive it to reset comp?

I would say 10 to 20 miles would be enough to tell if the trouble codes will return. You may be able to disconnect the battery for a couple of hours to clear the codes, but using a scanner or code reader is better.
A scanner or code reader can find history trouble codes on some models and in some cases without the engine light being on.
The purpose of the warning light is to tell the driver the vehicle needs attention now.

How do I reset the check engine light on 1996 lincoln mark viii after I replaced the mass air sensor. it is now running smooth and the dealer told me it was the MAF sensor. Now that I have replaced it ,...

You can take it to your local auto zone and trhe will scan and clear the codes for free. Or you can unhook the battery ground for at least 30 seconds.

Diagnostic code po325 what does this mean

Hi the error code relates to the PCM Knock Sensor Circuit

A knock sensor tells the engine computer when one or more of your engine's cylinders are "knocking", that is, exploding the air/fuel mixture in a way that delivers less power and can be damaging to the engine if prolonged. The computer uses this information to tune the engine so that it doesn't knock. If your knock sensor wasn't operating properly, so that it was always indicating a knock, the engine computer's response may have been to change the ignition timing on your engine. The knock sensor generally threads into the engine block. This P0325 code may show up intermittently or the Service Engine light may be lit constantly.
Symptoms

You may notice drivability problems including a lack of power and perhaps some hesitation. There may also be other symptoms.
Causes

A code P0325 most likely means one or more of the following has happened:

* The knock sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced
* There is a wiring short/fault in the knock sensor circuit

Possible Solutions

* Check the resistance of the knock sensor (compare it to factory specs)
* Check for broken/frayed wires leading to the sensor
* Replace the knock sensor

Hope this helps

1996 Nissan Maxima 2.5 V6 Engine Knock sensor The engine runs fine; but it sets off 2 codes knock sensor & ignition. Just this week had the plug wire and knock sensor changed, new. Still the same code...

The knock sensor is a major pain in the a..s to change I would suggest taking it to a reputable shop for a second opinion to see if they realy performed the work. Also with OBD11 (2) diagnostics if you have multiple misfires its not the wires its something else, also if you got a code for a misfire it would be specific as to which cylinder is misfiring. My best guess would be to get your coil checked.
