Hi !
Please check as to how old the oil is i.e. how many miles have you driven without changing the engine oil. The old oil looses its viscosity resulting in low oil pressure which ignites the lamp.
It will be advisable that in the next oil change you first Flush the engine with a cleaner and then only change the oil along with a new oil filter. This would clean the sump, oil pump and the censors resulting in a smoother drive.
Regards
Berry.

Set the display window to ODO.
Turn the ignition switch off.
While pressing the reset switch, turn the ignition switch on(IG). Keep pressing the reset switch for at least 5 seconds to complete reset procedure.
*IF this does not work you have be confused with the warning light, it may not be the oil life, but check engine light, refer to owners manual for clarity.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
The alternator can be grounded. I strongly suggest that you have the alternator checked if there are cutted or burnt wires. This can be the reason why it drains the battery.
If the problem still persists then I suggest alternator replacement. If it's worn out it will just drain down the battery because there will be no return of current during the vehicles operation.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
