Tie rod ends have been changed, newer tires and balance. Mechanic said the cv boots look ok. We are considering suspension or motor mounts?
Even if the boot are not broken it doesnt mean the cv good the inner cv its 3 ball bearing that slide in a slot that slot get damaged and there a cavite and when the ball get in the cavite very bad vibration occure
Testimonial: "what is the best way to check the cv? the mechanic said it was fine but i am not sure if they just inspected the boot. how can we check it ourselves?"
Sounds like motor mount or trans mount, have someone get in car put it in drive with foot firmly on brake and give it some gas do the same in reverse if motor moves more than an inch or so, or clunks, replace mounts
Sorry, I dont know how to work this site. You were correct, the front motor mount bolt was broken and it was obvious by performing your test as explained. After replacement there is a huge difference in the drive/ride and handle of the car. However, this is still the vibration on acceleration in right turns and during bumps on the highway, much reduced but still there so there is something else that needs attention. What should we check next for this?

Check the mounts on the rack & pinion or strut tops .
Testimonial: "i will have to google how to do this and check it. thanks."

next would be the axle and cv joints if you can jack up the right front corner support it then spin the wheel keeping watch to see if axle spins with tire. then spin backward and forward ( basically wiggle on axis to see if there's play in axle from inner to outer joint
my son and husband did the above. said the wheel spins free of the axle and there was no play. any further suggestion? we are hoping to get this taken care of so we can make a trip to see my husbands parents who are really getting up in age and not in great health. sincerely appreciate all the feedback from everyone!
if axle feels good and tight no play but you're still vibrating it possible ther is still amount problem even though you found 1 bad did you retest after mount repair
re checked the motor mounts and it seems ok. however, he aimed his flash light and did spot grease leakage from the passenger side cv axle so we are taking it back to a different shop to have them looked at again.
thats good follow-up hope all goes well
had both front cv's replaced today and the vibration is completely fixed. so relieved as it was really bad. thanks to everyone for the help!
