1996 eldarodo and I have recently replace my alternator with a brand new BBB brand I have a brand new parts plus battery also earlier today it seemed I had a bad connection its jus clicks now

Sans any definitive information, make, model, year... why you started wholesaling new parts... (none came thru).

You ought go back to the basics...

Fire, fuel & unrestricted exhaust...

On Board Diagnostics (OBD) might be pointing at several things...

Did you clean the therminal when a therminal loose corossion get in there most likely that why your car dont start

Just because they're new doesn't mean that they work. I would find an auto parts store that does free electrical system checks before spending a dime elsewhere. I've gone through 4 batteries in 3 years because of bad products. And have most recently had to replace a brand new alternator because it, too, was defective.

I suggest to check if you have oil leaking onto your alternator or did you recently replace the alternator? Keep in mind that the voltage regulator is built into the alternator on vehicles and I have seen oil leaks internally short the alternator or poor quality aftermarket parts.

Also check ground and wires broke or in short.

You have no charging system output from the Alternator, this means the Alternator has failed or the wiring to or from it.

Any autozone or advance auto parts ect.. will test it for free.

the alternator failed this is usually a chrylser and jeep dodge isue the bearing fails and the alternator quits charging the if the light comes on its usually alternator but on some jeeps the light dosent come on because it reads that it is charging

the other thing that it could be is the battery shot on ya the only thing you can do to see if its a good battery do a battery acid test

Battery light indicates alternator failure. If you have a voltmeter, check voltage at battery with engine running. Should be at least 14 volts. If no voltmeter, remove alternator and take it to parts store for testing.
If the alternator is bad and that is your only problem, the truck should jump start, but it will not go far unless the battery is charged. OK?

It sound's like the alternator, that's the main thing that will turn on the battery light in the dash.

I had the same problem on a 94 dodge with the cummins. It seems the crank sensor that reads from a notch on the harmonic balancer was the problem Without this sensor reading that the engine is running the alternator wont charge. Possibly the same problem with yours
