I own a 2004 Dodge Durango. I am trying to

I own a 2004 Dodge Durango. I am trying to disable my factory-set security system. Both of my key fobs no longer work because the battery brackets that hold the batteries in place are defective,(not just dead batteries). When I unlock my vehicle with the key and open the door, the alarm sounds until I can put the key in the ignition and turn the ignition on. (Very embarrassing) I was hoping to find a fuse that runs just the security system, but have been unable to find the schematics for the fuse panel. I also can't afford to purchase new key fobs at $150 each, plus programming. Can you help?

I do not think it is the fobs. Sound like a program glitch in the security system.

Had the same problem and used small amount of super glue on the battery bracket and it worked like new. Hope this works for you.

My 2004 dodge durango was turning over but didn't crank now it want even turn over

If the security is set. It will turn 3 trys, then quit. Try locking it down. All doors and hood. Use the Key fob to open. No fob, open the drivers side first, try to start. no luck, lock it and open the passenger side. Still no luck, have the system scanned.

I have an 2005 dodge durango slt. My key fob stopped working to lock and unlock the doors and when I use the actual key in the lock it sets off the alarm.what could've caused it and what I need to do to...

Easiest thing is to chainge the battery in the fob! Sounds like you armed the alarm and now cannot disable! I know in most cars once armed with key it will be on till disarmed! Possibly a batery disconnect for 20 min may run system down and reset! If you can stand the noise!! Good luck
