Battery or battery connections...only obvious answer..left light on...or could be automatic shutoff if any lights left on...look for that in your autobook inside compartment...on how to retrieve from automatic shutoff..and lastly do jump it just to reset everything...

SOURCE: wont always start

Did anyone check the clutch interlock switch? It's possible the position is out of adjustment. My 2008 SRT4 is right at the bottom. If you don't push the clutch ALL the way down, it won't start.

SOURCE: 2001 dodge grand caravan stalls

Check the sensors on the throttle body. There is a sensor that controls air to fuel ratio. If that sensor is bad then the car will run and then stall out while in drive. I had the same problem when it was cold outside last winter. If you dont want to dish out the money without knowing if it is that part at fault or not then start the van pop the hood and located the throttle body. Place your hand on the sensors and give them a little shake and then make sure they are plugged in all the way. You could also turn the van off and unhook the sensor clean the connectors and plug it back in. That should do the trick and if it doesnt stall anymore then I would replace those sensors if I was you. One more thing. If your giving the sensors a tug while the car is running and you hear it going to stall you could located the gas pedal cable and give it a rev or two by hand so it doesnt stall out and turn off. By the way. You van isnt over heating at all is it?

SOURCE: dead battery

It could be a defective ignition switch as well (it has a disabling circuit) thinking the vehicle is stolen. The dealer has the equipment to see if is throwing a code for that.

Sounds like the fuel pump has an issue with a safety on the pump itself.

intermittent no start situations generally appear when you have defective crank position sensor (since it cant get idea what the crank angle is) and fuel pump issues( since it cant receive enough fuel)

1998 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8 Litter engine. It has stopped running I have a few questions and need some ideas

1st of all you need to check the simple, & obvious things.
Note: if your not a mechanic, or mechanically incline. ?!
Bring it to some onr you trust !!
If you have access to meters, then the 1st thing to check your charging system ( did any dashboard warning lights come on when you started it last !! )
If it's not a voltage issue then you need to Scan it. this can be done free @ any local parts store .... ie. Auto Zone. Auto Electric. ... etc.

2006 dodge grand caravan-car won;t start.fuel pumpplugs and wires gives no clue and checks everything out ok Battery turns over but just won;t start.visually othing appears to be...

My 2003 dodge caravan would not start after driving about 1/2 hour. I stopped for coffee and when got back in to start it started I switched gears and it stalled. I tried to start again switched gears then it started but only for 2 sec. No clicking, no cranking sound just would not start but battery functions were great. Spent 2 days with a mechanic who could not resolve so sent to Dodge. After a day of putting wires back and checking out the problem they said it was the computer. Said that it was bad and could be replaced at no charge due to malfunction. Yes, it worked fine afterwards no more problems. They also said that some of the computers are found to be defective like this one so I hope this helps you in the right choice to have the dealer check it out if you are unable to get a computer reading and there is no obvious short in the system. Free sounded very good but as you know there is no such thing as really free as they got me for other things $350 worth. ouch!

No not at all. The problem may be with the anti-theft system. Sometimes in older cars, especially Dodges', the theft system starts to act up even though you put the key in the ignition. You may want to have it checked out at the dealership, shouldn't cost that much just to have it looked at.
