found it! lower kick panel where the fuel cutoff switch is... remove that & you have 3 blue relays below it / remove the mounting plate to access the relays

this year generation of villager and quest is a joint venture between ford and nissan

the link i gave you is the actual Factory Service Manual that the dealership uses! start at page 237-241

the relay is one of the things to check, along with grounds and a fusible link you didn't mention

look at my comments, but i'll edit this answer to get you to the right area

goto the link i posted and to page 314

that narrows it down to the floor level on the driver side

i yank that panel HARD where the fuel reset switch is... held on with only 2 tension springs.

below that switch is a mounting plate and you can clearly see the blue relay, the other 2 lower gray ones are circuit breakers

there is a fuse panel on lower driver side panel to the left of the steering column, you'll see 2 rows of mini-fuses & to the right 2 blue relays & 3 brown relays; i'm still looking to why they're not labeled on the fuse panel cover!

ok found what those relays by the fuse panel are, the power window relay is not on that fuse panel

it's on the lower kick panel; wiggle/ pull that panel off hard & it's below that fuel reset switch on a mounting plate along w/ 2 other blue square relays/ circuit breakers

i went to page 314 to finally spot that blue relay right by the floor!

Principles of Operation
The driver power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the master window/door lock/unlock switch (and its integrated "auto down" module). Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay. The SEC/timer module will ground this relay when the ignition is in the ON position and will remain energized for approximately 15 minutes or until the driver or passenger door is opened.
The driver power window regulator motor is a reversible motor that is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The passenger power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the passenger power window switch and can also be controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch.
The passenger power window regulator motor is a reversible motor, which is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The power rear quarter glass is also directly controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch. The power rear quarter glass power latches also utilize reversible motors. The power rear quarter glass power latches are operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to open the window, and then reversing polarity on those same leads to close the window.

I have power rear vents on my 98 Villager that does not operate. I cannot locate it on the fuse box to replace so i checked each fuse and none were blown. Where is it?

go to our site for help.

your owner manual has fuse diagrams.

the qtr windows go through the power window relay. If other windows work, not likely the relay or timer module.

you need 12 volts at this wire on the overhead console switches.

  • Measure the voltage between the power rear quarter glass window regulator control switch C903 , "O/BK" and ground.

  • If no 12 v, SERVICE the "O/BK" wire between the power window relay and the power rear quarter glass window regulator control switch.
The ower window relay is above and behind the fuse panel on the dash. 2 relays and turn signal flasher in same area. Turn signal light on to locate flasher. 2 bolts hold bracket with relays & flasher.

    Pass.side power window won't work.

First be sure the window lock in the drivers side master switch is not LOCKED. This will prevent the windows from being rolled down by any other switch. (p106+)

Usually windows operate off a RELAY - not a fuse... and all the windows work off the same power relay.

Your Relay Part Number is 41-5021.
Here is the electrical schematic for your windows - showing the relay is common to all windows.

    6713bdf.gif
CLICK HERE for a better pic.

If the relay is replaced - and/or tested good, You will need to remove the offending door's panel and verify the motor is getting 12VDC when you press the button for it to go down.

If there is 12VDC when you push the button, the motor is bad.

If there is NOT 12VDC when you push the button - the master switch or child lock bypass switch is faulty.

Click HERE for a PDF version of your owners manual

Under the ROADSIDE EMERGENCIES section (p.245) you will find a layout diagram of your fusebox.

P.248 instructs to pull DOWN on the fusepanel door to access... however your power window relay is located under the driver's side dash.

If the other windows work - there are 3 options to test/replace - in this order
    1. Relay
    2. Master Switch
    3. Window motor.

    Seat Belts/Front Seats

seats use heavy corrent & use relays instead of fuses. check relays in fuse panel. see chart on cover or owner manual for location.

Also, this is for 96 villager seats.

    Circuit Protection
Power is supplied to the seat motors through the 30A POWER WINDOW fuse. The fuse is located in the LH engine compartment fuse junction panel and is hot at all times. The circuit breaker is behind the interior fuse junction panel and prevents current overload and component damage.
