SOURCE: headlight switch toyota celica

You have a automatic light control. The sensor is more likely your problem It should be on the top part of your dash.Double check the function of the combination switch also

SOURCE: hight beam wont come on

If you check to make sure your headlight switch connector is plugged in correctly and all other connections are made then the head light switch ( high beam portion) internal connections aren't making a good enough contact or are broken. In this case replace switch.

SOURCE: headlights don't work unless you hold high beams

Check the headlight Relay and/or fuses - should be in the fuse panel.

I have a 2001 toyota celica gt. both front headlights will not come on. the high beams work. the car was hit in the front. does the headlight circuit have a fuse or a relay and where is it located. i found...

Have you checked the light globes ? The globes have a filament for each of Low and High Beams and the Low Beam ones fail much sooner than the high. A bump as you describe may have been enough for the Low beam filaments to fail as the filaments get brittle through age.

1995 toyota landcruiser diesil headlights

inner lights are highbeam outer lights low beam and side gaurd lights are your parkers, if you are 100% sure your globes are ok then your dimmer switch is stuffed this is the light switch in the cab that you use to opperate lights, sometimes the contacts get dirty inside the switch and create a short if you are mechanicaly minded then you could have a go at pulling it appart and cleaning it. if not you could get one from the wreckers in your area......

Headlights do not work

sounds like the problem is in your headlight switch, first check your fuses under the dash and under the bonnet also your globes they will still work on high beam and parkers if the globes are blown or if theres a problem in the headlight switch or a blown fuse
