I have a 1997 Pontiac grand prix gtp that randomly dies while driving down the road. My husband has replaced everything we can think of. Please help

What parts were changed? If it happens now and then, Look at the ignition module under the coils and the crank sensor. If randomly, go after the crank sensor. Other things could cause this also. What's the engine size?

Make sure that when it happens again check to see if there are any lite up lights on the dash that were'nt there before indicating that there may be a problem, if so find out what the sysbol means or you can take it into a shop and have them diagnose the problem

Hello! This indicates a fault with the wheel speed sensor/ABS sensor. Any major auto parts retailer can pull the details of this code (which sensor) for free, which will help you identify if the wiring is loose or damaged or if the sensor will need to be replaced. If you need to replace the sensor - you will need to replace the entire wheel bearing assembly, as the sensor is internal.

I have a 1997 grand prix gtp.it has been misfiring for the past few weeks. i had it scanned and it said #6 is misfiring. i have changed the plug, plug wire, coil pack, and injector and it is still missing....

if as soon you give gas it dies i would check the gas pressure it should be about 50 psi if it good check the compression on that cylinder thats a start let me no

do you have any thing extra hooked up to your battery because i have a 96 and my amp kills the car when im sitting still abs light cuts on then i lose power for a few seconds

1997 Grand Prix GTP starts but wont run for more than 5 Sec

is this a supper cahrged grand prix if so check fuel pump resistor located behind right front head light or on fire wall its made of white ceramic has to wires going to it jump the two wire on the connection going to it if it runs longer then 15 min then replace resiustor.
