I don't believe that the 1991 Accord DX had a Honda accessory alarm option, but regardless, factory or aftermarket, it was wasn't installed at the factory, it was installed at the dealer or an aftermarket store. Just remove it, and reattach any cut wires.

SOURCE: Cannot turn off security Alarm

If this is a factory alarm try using the the key in the door lock and turning the door lock manually. I have seen this issue in chrysler models as well. If this does not work try replacing the batteries in the key fob as this will cause falfunctions as well.

SOURCE: honda accord key broblem

All you need to do is push the Shifter in harder into park and the key will come right out.. I had this problem once too.. The car just doesn't know it's in park because you didn't push it in far enough.

SOURCE: 98 honda accord car alarm will not let car start.

Try chaning the main relay. It is $60 at the dealer, cheaper on e-bay. There is also a way to repair the sodlering connection on it if you want to try and save some money. Check youtube for a video on how to rapir main relay on Honda's. Any questions, e-mail me at [email protected]

Disable alarm

usage? b
did you loose the guide. its here
http://justgivemethedamnmanual.com/honda/honda-accord-coupe-owners-manuals/

it automaticaly sets when you lock the car.
so you want to defeat the auto set. ,
Honda dont want you to....
so..
the MICU does that. it is fully integrated into the cars systems.
includes, door left open warnings, etc.

if you attempt to kill it, many bad things will happen.
i suggest asking HONDA that question.
drive there , ask service, if it can be done.

the manual does not mention defeating it .

I have a 2003 hyundai sonata and i dont have the remote for the stock alarm. My alarm keeps going off and my car wont start. I bought a new battery and even tried the key in the door still no luck.....

The 2003 Sonata is equipped with a 'starter KILL' burglar alarm system with disables the starting system (using a N/C 'contacts' configuration instead of a N/O contacts configuration). N/C=Normally closed, and N/O=Normally open contacts. When the alarm goes off with a MY Sonata, the only way to DISARM it is with the key fob (remote) originally programmed for it (unless you purchase a new remote & have it programmed for the vehicle at an authorized Hyundai Service Department). NOTE: So long as the keyless entry & burglar alarm system is functioning/operating normally, the alarm will keep going off and the STARTER KILL function will still prevent you from starting the vehicle. One option is left without purchasing a new remote and having it programmed.
1. When the alarm goes off, get into the vehicle and insert the ignition key into the ignition.
2. Turn the key to the 'RUN' position (NOT the ACC position) and wait for the alarm to STOP (usually about 3 to 5 minutes).
3. The engine should then start using the ignition key.

If this procedure doesn't work, the problem will need further diagnosis by a qualified/certified Hyundai Service Technician.

Hope this helps

I have a94 pontiac grand prix 3.1 it won't crank has a new pump, fuel filter, & new relay...could it be the security system? if so where is it and how to discount?

If you have a security system and the car wont start then your starter kill is the culprit, if the starter kill is active then your car will not crank, you must disable this by pressing the unlock key in your remote twice continuously , check your LED bulb in your dash or where ever it is mounted if you have one that is. If you dont, see if your parking lights flash when you press the alarm remote keys. Physically disabling a starter kill is not something you want to do with expert help , you must have a car audio tech do this for you or someone who is physically there to help you, I cant help you from Fix Ya , it is too much technical information and a delicate procedure that you must do under your dash if you can locate the alarm brain. All this if its the starter kill if not then you have a mechanical problem, check your starter, battery, alternator, ignition and obviously as silly as it may sound gas. Its probably an electrical issue like your ignition, battery, or alternator. Check Maxi Fuses under your hood or under your dash.Ignition fuses etc.

Good luck.
