Maybe the convenience (or comfort) control module under the driver seat carpet also got water damaged? If you have VAGcom (VCDS), run diagnostic scan and post here.
Most likely the light sensor has stopped working. The light sensor creates voltage from light, like a small solar cell. If it quits producing voltage, the light system thinks it is dark.
Sounds like the belt is too loose. It slips and the alternator stops turning and the light comes on. Look online on "how to" adjust the belt.
Good Luck....should be a simple fix.
check that you are not in 4 wheel drive H and on hard stand ( hard surface ) The jolt may be from drive train torque wind up releasing on the stop motion . wheel drive should only be used on loose surfaces --- mud--gravel---snow --ice or any surface that will allow the tyres to unwind the torque build up.by slipping
There are two fans behind the radiator. One is suppose to begin running
when the AC is turned on. The other is to cool the radiator when it
gets too warm. Raise the hood with the engine running and AC "on"and
see if at least one fan is running.
what do you mean not in motion. Are they both lights, one light, running engine not running. I would suggest looking at the connetor to the signal light fixture making sure its all the way locked in or even for a loose power or ground wire at the connector. Possibly the relay to the blinker is intermittent. I'm giving you a generalized solution because i'm not sure exactly what is wrong. Do you have the light on the dash board working and the signal light is not when it stops working do yo hear clicking. If you hear clicking for signal light is it fast or slow.
